The old adage age is just a number has always come with a caveat: age is just a number unless you're an older woman. Most women will be able to identify with Jordan's ambivalence in starting a relationship with a younger man. The May-December romance between Jordan and Michael is very well written and readers get a chance to experience the old fashion art of a man pursuing a woman. Not only does this book give us a look at a heartwarming relationship, but it also guides the reader into the sometimes-harsh reality of today's educational system. Throughout all of the mayhem she deals with during a school day, Jordan has to make a decision that will affect her personal and professional life: does she follow her head or does she follow her heart? Her decision leads to the very essence of the title of the book: Love Changes Everything. This book is a very good read and is absolutely adorable!
Love Changes everything is a sensual blend of love, suspense and breaking free from one's own fears to find the thing that you desire most. This is a great story about love and the differences that can keep people apart but ultimately in the end there really is no difference only in what you feel. Karen White Owens has done an excellent job of characterizing an older woman's fear of romance with a younger man and blending it into a highschool teacher setting. The suspense and mystery of the story build to a satisfying end with success of the two main characters. I really enjoyed this sensual, suspense filled story it really speaks to the ideas of today that people are having about these kinds of relationships.
