Beth Poole's got the wrong ticket to the right life…
English dog trainer Beth Poole is having trouble getting her life back together after beating a life-threatening illness and divorcing her husband. When her Aussie-soap-obsessed grandma sends her to Australia to recover, it seems a great opportunity for some rest and relaxation while she figures out what's next. But when Beth arrives in Australia things get off to a rocky start. To begin with, she's on the wrong coast and there are deadly creatures everywhere. And if that weren't enough, her neighbors are driving her crazy. She's staying in the beautiful Margaret River wine region, right next door to a family-owned vineyard. It should be perfect, but the boisterous Hardy clan just don't seem able to leave her alone. The usually reserved Beth is soon reluctantly embroiled in their family disputes and romantic entanglements. And eldest son Clayton Hardy is proving surprisingly persistent. The more Beth gets to know Clayton, the more she sees what she wants for her future. But as the end of summer approaches, her past comes back to haunt her and tests her newfound relationship with Clayton to the limit.

This is the story of Beth, a British breast cancer survivor who goes to Australia for a two month vacation. There she meets Clayton, a vintner/rancher bachelor who becomes intrigued by this waif-like Brit. Clayton, who lost his mother to cancer at a very young age, has lived his life trying to control everything that surrounds him. Needless to say, coming face-to-face with a cancer survivor whom he has fallen for throws his world into chaos. When her two month vacation is almost over, Beth and Clayton come to a crossroads regarding a future together. This story does not shy away from the realities of cancer, specifically breast cancer. How one copes, the role of family, the strength and will to survive. And always, the fear of reoccurence. As Clayton comes to terms with the uncertainty of life, will he find the strength to love Beth through sickness and in health? This is such a compassionate and realistic story of love and the bravery of one young woman who chooses to thrive, not just survive. With slightly heated love scenes and adult language, I would recommend this book for mature readers. A truly great book worth reading!
Love Imperfection starts with Beth ending up in Western Australia for a vacation. A gift from her granny for her 31st birthday. While she’s changing a flat tire, wearing her winter clothes in summer, Clayton almost runs her off the road. That is the beginning of a really great story. Sparks fly at Evangeline’s Rest and I don’t mean the chemistry between Beth and Clayton. Lol! It’s not only the story of Beth and Clayton. This is about his dad, Rob and a little about his granny Angie too. They’re all suffering from the loss of Pam, Clayton ‘s mother. This is a very emotional story. A few tears, but also a lot of laughter. I wished the ending wasn't so abrupt. I received an arc of this book and this is my voluntary and honest opinion.
A funny, Sweet, and tough love story, about facing your fears and living your life to the fullest, and enjoying every day as it was the last and always loving the people that love you. Beth and Clayotn’s love story it’s one full of funny, sad, tough and sweet moments as life itself.
