I received this as an ARC for an honest review and I must honestly say this goes down as one of my favorite storylines. This is the third book I've read from Alyssia Leon and they just keep getting better and better. I absolutely loved every bit of this story, it captivated me from the start. This is Sophie and Marc's story. Sophie is a village church mouse of sorts, the vicar's oldest daughter who feels like the family ugly duckling. Marc is the only son of a court justice. Having felt like he didn't add up to his fathers accomplishments, he sets out to prove himself without the help of his father. A chance meeting throws Sophie and Marc into each others company and sparks fly. But when Marc's father request Sophie to come to Ashgrove to help him with his memoirs Sophie and Marc must learn to keep their distant. Sophie so that her heart isn't crushed and Marc because he has a plan to become a Supreme Court Justice and a village church mouse is not a part of that plan. Ms. Leon gave us suspense, competition, love, heart break and a twist that changed everything. I loved the progression and pace this book has, I didn't want to put it down, I couldn't wait to see what the next page offered and then I didn't want the story to end. Great job Alyssia, great job!!!
