"Inspiring. Thoughtful. Wonderful. We would be so lucky to know this kind of love in our lives."
Adam Reid B.Sc O.D.
"This book is a celebration of love. Although written for children, it also speaks to the child in all of us. It reminds us what is important in life, and that loving and respecting others begins with loving and respecting ourselves."
Bruce Masterman, author, parent and college journalism instructor.
"This book has such a pure and heartfelt message, delivered through the whimsy of Perry's artistic flare. What a wonderful way to invite loving reflection on a child's place in this world!"
Aubrey Baldock, Child Care Counsellor
Based on love and inspiration, Love Is What You Are Made Of is a creative way of reminding children who they are, and of the love they are surrounded by. This book collectively stimulates imaginativeness while providing comfort in responding to the child's primary question, "what am I made of?"

For my Taran and Sascha, Who taught me how to Love.
On a vast rolling ocean sparkling blue, In a brown wooden boat sat wonderful you.
Great big eyes stared at the sun above, Asking "Oh, just what am I made of?"
A question that shot up into the stars, Drifted through the Milky Way, Landing on space dust - somewhere near Mars.
Until the wind picked up and blew it away ...
It soared around upon a breeze, Then hid in the feathers of a wise young owl, Who was sailing across the seven seas.
Sunsets in your heart of gold, But that is not all that you behold -
Smiles bounding from ear to ear, Dance upon those cute little lips that I love so dear.
