About the Author

Creating art is nothing new to Alesia, she discovered her passion for writing at the tender age of five and has used her love for it throughout life; you could always find her hiding behind a book, reading a new adventure every day. As a Creative Director, Influencer, Photographer, Activist and Fashion Designer - Alesia is now able to share her heart with the world as an author. Written in just 10 days, love me like the stars is her first compilation of poetry.

these are my thoughts
that weigh heavily
on my heart
i think of them as a river
that i could no longer contain
spilling over
seeping onto these pages
this is lust
this is love
this is romance
and the heartache that comes with it
this is the journey to salvation
no matter how daunting
and terrifying it may be
this is my vulnerability
wrapped in humility

handle with care.

Completely OBSESSED with this gorgeous book. I don't usually read poetry, but honestly the aesthetic drew me in. Love Me Like The Stars is raw, it's honest and some parts even had me in tears. The author describes each chapter (there are four of them) as a journey, and I'd have to agree. It's filled with wisdom and truth and beautiful art (she's so impressive!). I love that she tells stories from her life in poetic form. Some of her experiences also educated me. I feel like I know her lol Best purchase ever!

This was a great read and I've found myself reading poems over and over again. The author's ability to be vulnerable is admirable. Her creativity truly shines through. There aren't any blank pages or random things written to take up pages so you're really getting your money's worth. Love the color photography and art. Really beautiful. Can't wait to see what this author creates next but I have a feeling I'll always refer back to this one.

This is the most unique poetry book I've ever read. I have really loved reading it! The author is raw and authentic, she stands in her truth. Most, if not all, topics that she explores are relateable. The art and self-portraits are beautiful. This is far from basic. It's REAL poetry that actually rhymes. Totally recommend this!

I don't normally write reviews (yeah, one of those people) but this deserves all of the recognition. From the moment you read the back cover poem and the intro poem, you'll be hooked. It talks about love, being sad, depression, a few poems dedicated to her family members (love love love!), hard times, feminism, societal issues and a lot more. She seems to pull everything from her own personal experiences and I really love that. It's incredibly refreshing to find such a unique and creatively strong poetry book. The way the author writes is beyond amazing and beautiful. Get a copy for yourself and several friends, you will LOVE this book. A few of my favorites: i thought it was my fault i didn’t realize what he did was wrong silenced shame. when your lips kissed mine it was divine when i felt your grasp my heart cried at last soulmate. there is something poetic about you i don’t know if it’s your charming smile or the way you simply move there is something addicting about the way you make me laugh the way your heart cares your compassion for humanity your passion for the simple things maybe it’s the way you exemplify what loving deeply truly means the halo you wear shines as bright as a thousand stars in the night it measures beyond what i can imagine the reflection glistens through my eyes out of all the galaxies how beautiful it is that we exist in the same moment of time because the heavens knew when they created you that you would be the light in my starlit sky you are electric you are the warmth of the sun a prepossessing flower that blooms with an unwavering love i’m drawn to your spirit silently wishing your hand was forever mine to cherish the boy part 3: milky way.
