I enjoyed this story and the characters. The romance is steamy--typical for Connie Mason books. I recommend it to anyone who likes a steamy romance that doesn't mess around with 'getting the girl' until the end. All the Connie Mason books I have read, start off with a bang and just keep going. The relationship with the characters build throughout the book in lieu of at the end as is with many romance books. Sometimes there is a lot of repetition such as you read how something happens, then it is relayed to someone else instead of 'then he explained it to her.' But, heh, you can skip over that. Some of her books are very nicely edited.

I started reading this book with much interest but I have to say that the author's surprise of an incestuous side-story really through me off guard. I was very disappointed. I don't see the relevance to the main plot. It's okay to imply that someone has sick tendencies but this was rather graphic. It robbed the book of its romantic value.
