About the Author

Daisy Jordan is an obsessive tennis fan and wrote this book so she could live out her dream-job fantasy through Hilton. Before deciding to write a book about the tennis tour, she wrote six other books, including Everything Happens for a Reason..., the Spin the Bottle series, and All That Sparkles Isn't Real Sapphire. Even before that, she grew up in Indiana watching tennis all summer every summer on TV, and even attended a few pro tournaments. She now lives in Denver and religiously fills out brackets for every Grand Slam with her brother Josh.

One word: Cool! I loved reading this book by Daisy Jordan. Once again, this is another new to me author and one that I am glad that I had the pleasure of reviewing for! Her talent is extremely skilled and she really knows how to hook her reader. While this isn't a Christian novel, it is not overly filled with sex or overpowered with language (there was some language yes, but not every other word like some of these novels out there today). That was a bonus with me on Daisy's book.I loved reading Hilton's story. She was such a sweet character! Even when all went wrong for her. She was determined to over come it all and follow her hopes and dreams. I loved her character so much and Daisy did a wonderful job chiseling her with her flaws and her issues. Truly a wonderful way to hook her readers!Daisy wrote this story with lots of laughs, lots of drama and lots of secrets. She pulled them all together to create a fabulous chick lit novel! It's full of fun with the tennis-loved how Daisy added the details of tennis in the front of the book (makes it good for us who do not know much about tennis!), and it's full of photography-I can picture the pictures that Hilton were taking and could really feel like I was the one taking them, and of course, it's full of the romance that make a good chick lit story. Oh and did I mention that there is just a wee bit of suspense with some secrets from Hilton's boyfriend's past????Definitely check this book out. It's worth 4 stars and recommendation but I must warn's HUGE!! It will take some time to read this book- I had to really PUSH PUSH PUSH myself but I did it in just a couple of days. Well done, Daisy and I look forward to more books like this one!*This book was provided for review by the author and Pump Up Your Book!*

Reviewed by Rabia Tanveer for Readers' Favorite Loves Means Zero by Daisy Jordan is the story of Hilton Joliet. She is living with her boyfriend (her best friend and her fiancé) in a nice apartment, with a nice job, and has a nice life. In short, her life is missing that thrill or spark that comes with doing something adventurous or even something that is normally fun. When Hilton and her best friend Jill go on a vacation to Europe, she believes she will finally find some perspective and some much needed me-time. However, her life will change. For good or bad? That depends on how you perceive it. During her visit to Italy, she attends a tennis match. Tennis has always been her passion and, as she is a photographer, she takes her camera everywhere. To the surprise of everyone, Hilton takes a controversial picture of a tennis star as he cheats on his actress girlfriend. This is when she gets the job as a freelance photographer at Game Set Match. Now she is all set to travel the world and do both the things she loves best. But this has given her an opportunity to do other things that have an influence on her life. The new job has its perks, but it also has its down side. Can her relationship survive? Or will she get something even better? Love Means Zero may seem like the usual boy-meets-girl-girl-meets-boy novel, but it is so much more than that. Jordan has written the novel with passion and you can feel it. The characters are beautifully written and portrayed with just the right words. Hilton is so much fun and Jill is very quirky. I really love it when writers can make their characters seem real and feel real. A good piece of fiction that will be the perfect book to read on a lazy day. A huge thumbs up!

LOVE MEANS ZERO follows about a year-and-a-half in the life of Hilton Joilet. When we meet Hilton, she is living with her best friend, Jill; Jill's fiance, Todd; their 2-year-old daughter, Adria; and Hilton's boyfriend, Luke. Jill and Hilton go on a three-week trip to Europe. Hilton, a photography major in college and a tennis lover, go to a tournament in Italy. While there, Hilton manages to snap a money-making shot of one of the players cheating on his actress girlfriend. She sells her picture to Game Set Match magazine, which is described as US Weekly just for tennis. She shows them other shots she took at the matches, and they hire her to travel the world, working all of the tournaments. Her assignment is to take pictures of the matches but also to follow the players around and take snapshots while they are partying - and go behind the scenes, too. Hilton thinks she has found her dream job, but will it set well with Luke, especially when Hilton becomes a celebrity herself? This is a good beach novel. It is exciting, sexy, and fun. The characters are over-the-top and like to have a lot of fun in life, so I believe you should give this one a try.
