* ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. * I do have to say, I was already a Lauren Christopher fan before I received this ARC from NetGalley. This just made it sweeter though! I loved Paige in The Kiss on Castle Road so I was excited to hear she was coming back in Love on Lavender Island. I could really relate to Paige. She is a hard worker, she's paying the bills by doing things she might not love but has a goal in her life to do her passion. It doesn't fudge on real family details on potentially annoying mothers (but you love them and care about them beyond belief) or hiding from your interfering sisters by sulking around and dodging them when you see them in town. Adam was a mysterious cowboy and he definitely had some feelings about Paige's family. There is a whole backstory that you will enjoy as it unfolds in the book. Their attraction grows but there are some surprises that pop up that make this romance a pleasure to read. The fact that it is on "Lavender Island" when it's basically a knock off of Catalina Island is fantastic. I've been over to Catalina many times in my years and it was fun to visit it in this book. Definitely give this a read! I highly recommend!

I loved this! An emotional read of family, past hurts, expectations and a future that seems cloudy at best. Wonderfully written with great characters, this book is a perfect summer read. Adam and Paige grew up together but the small age difference back them seemed huge and while Paige had a huge crush on Adam, he barely noticed her and considered her a pest. Now at 29 Paige sees Adam again and she knows that crush has never gone away. She's not on Lavender Island looking for love though. She's here on business. All business!! Her mother is counting on her and for once Paige wants to get something right. Convincing Adam to hold off selling his property will be hard but she plans on giving it all she's got! Now if her heart and girlie parts will just leave her alone! This is one I highly recommend.

Paige Grant is a vibrant fun loving woman. She is an actress of sorts, yoga instructor and right now helping her mom with her wedding planning. Her mom has cancer and is trying to make a wedding for Dorothy Silver, a legendary actress happen. To make this happen she needs to fix up her grandmother's place on Lavender Island, but she also needs to talk Adam Mason into using part of his ranch as well. Adam Mason is a closed off rather grumply sort of a man. He is trying to get his ranch ready to sell. He has a very good offer and wants it to go through quickly. The death of his father has left him overwhelmed and the resort failing. He has also had a teenage daughter put in his lap that he didn't know he had. His childhood girlfriend has gotten pregnant and never told him about his child, when she died Adam became her only family. After the sale of the resort and ranch he is sending her to an art school he thinks she wants to go to, and he is leaving the Island for good. The Island has too many bad memories. Paige has been "in love" with Adam for sixteen years. He has never noticed her. She is feeling very nervous about having to approach him concerning using part of his land for this wedding. She is at her grandmother's house and realizes she is locked out so she has to climb through a window, she gets stuck half way through. She doesn't realize that someone is watching her then pushes her through the window. Once through and catching her bearings she realizes she is face to face with Adam. First impressions. Adam agrees to help Paige fix up her grandmother's house and no more. He tells her he is selling his property and getting off the island. While they work together to fix things up they become friends and find things out about each other they never knew. Adam starts to enjoy crazy Paige and even have fun. Which is something he usually doesn't do. As they become closer Paige is tangling with the knowlege of her secrets. Things that Adam doesn't know and she feels could ruin what they have together. She also knows that she has to tell him these things. Will she do it? Or will she just simply walk away? There is so much more to this book and I do not want to give it all away. Reading it will keep you involved from beginning to end. I read it in one day. The characters and thier relationships were perfect. I love this series. In my opinion this is Lauren Christopher's best work yet. I have never been to California, but with her descriptive telling of landscape and surroundings I feel like I have been there many times. She creates such strong and wonderful characters. Her stories are so filled with love, family and friendships. This author knows romance.

A love story that was years in the making. When Paige left Lavender Island, she planned to put old hurts, family drama and her teenage crush in the rear view mirror. Her big dreams didn't turn out how she planned and she's returned home with a bruised ego and an idea that she's determined to make work. Too bad a grownup Adam is just as fascinating as the teenage one. Will she risk her heart or will she end up breaking his? Love on Lavender Island is full of difficult choices but it also is about grabbing onto what makes one happy. A cute read about not knowing what you want until you almost lose it. Teaches the importance of being true to oneself.
