Overview

Rachel Whites love life was going just fine. She had been dating Ben, an ambitious, brilliant man that she once thought was out of her league, for more than two years now. Their future together was promising, and as far as she was concerned, he was the man of her dreams. So when her high school sweetheart walks back into her life seven years after he dumped her, she wants nothing to do with him. And why should she? He was, after all, the man who broke her heart and her trust when he recklessly canceled his plans to go to college with her and instead opted to move to Colorado for no apparent reason. Keeping him at arms length was her only option, and it workedfor a little while. But when Ben goes out of town indefinitely on business and Jason lands a job working at the same place as Rachel, its not long before she becomes torn between the man she loves now and the man she once loved.

From the files of Jessica Summer, an advice columnist who helps people in matters of the heart, comes the story of a young woman who has a lot to learn about love, honesty and forgiveness as she struggles to choose her path to happiness.

I loved this book. The author has a way of making the characters so real and so likeable that you feel like you know them. It's not long until you feel truly invested in the characters and the story, and when it's over, you are just a little disappointed. Love, Rachel is a story about a girl who has her future planned until her first love walks back into her life. At first she wants nothing to do with him and she hasn't forgiven him for dumping her and abandoning all the plans they made together. But as the story develops, and the character of her first love is revealed, it soon becomes clear why Rachel quickly becomes confused over choosing between the future she had planned with her current boyfriend or the possibility of the future she once dreamed of with her first love. Both of Kelly Killian's novels are rich in character and the story lines are both heartfelt and light for a fun, easy read. I can't wait for the next one!
