BRIEF SUMMARY Ella has lost her husband Kirk, and feels vulnerable. Needing help, she turns to Maximiliano, her late husband's childhood best friend. Maximiliano blames Ella, for his best friend's death. However, with the change of events taking place in Ella's life, Maximiliano teaches Ella the life of a submissive. THOUGHTS This is the fourth installment in the Guilty Pleasure series, and I have to say, I haven't felt this excited since the first book in the series. I enjoyed all three previous books; however, 'Love Slave to the Sicilian Billionaire' brought me back to the first book 'In Debt to the Dom' and why I enjoy the series. What I liked about this story was Ella's transformation from a sad and upset widowed, to a submissive that is eager to please. We also didn't just get to know her in the bedroom, but also see her go through her different stages of dealing with her deceased husband's death and the secrets she uncovers. Max, there is nothing I can say bad or wrong about him. He was Dom-sexy, tempting, and always the perfect gentleman towards Ella, in her time of need. Intimately, I think both characters did not disappoint and with their chemistry, it was an added bonus. I definitely feel that with each book in the series, the author gives a bit more of the Dom/ Sub world and with each book it gets better. Story: GOOD Intimacy: GOOD Enjoyment: GOOD

The plot is typical. The charactors flat. The dialogue is corny. If a Dom were to ever act and say the things, this one does, he would loose his Dom card and be marked with a pansy card. I have to admit that some of the mental and power exchange elements were right on target, then the charactors would open their mouths and blow the elusion.

Reviewed by: Victoria Book provided by: Author Review originally posted at Romancing the Book Love Slave to the Sicilian Billionaire is the fourth book in the Guilty Pleasure series by Jan Bowles. I chose this book because I liked the author. I have read several of her books and they are all great. Ella just lost her husband to suicide. She is drowning in her grief, so she acts out. Ella seems the type of person the needs the structure that being a submissive brings. The author did a great job with Ella’s emotions. They came across as very real and multidimensional. This character had depth that many authors do not go into. Max is reeling from the death of his best friend and places the blame where he thinks it belongs at Kirk’s wife’s, Ella, feet. When Ella seeks him out he is reluctant to help her. Max does not want to betray a friend, even a dead one. After meeting her several months later he gives her a second chance. Max character was a character that I truly liked. He did not abuse his power. He was a fair person that lived by his morals. Ella’s transformation from the beginning of the book to the end was nice to see. I love happy endings and the journey toward those happy endings. The chemistry these two had went beyond the bedroom. The only thing that would have made this story better would have been if the author was clearer on the timeline. The time period popped up now and then and was very distracting to the overall story line. This is one of the few books that I will go back and read. I love this series and cannot wait to read more from Jan Bowles.
