Better than Books 1 & 2... Navy seal returns home to recover from injuries and just wants to be quiet and left alone... Pretty impossible with music teacher holding classes in the house next door... Has some interesting twists and while a short book (120 pages) it is a complete story... I enjoy short stories that I can read in one sitting but I do like an interesting story and one that does not end too soon... Enjoyed this one...

Oh, I adore this story. It was refreshing, fun, joyful, and loving, it made me smile, even laugh out loud, and sigh so deeply. First, the therapy dog, Bomber deserves a special mention. I have read several books where veterans with severe PTSD have used them, and Bomber is just amazing in his job, and in his attention to Mason. Mason and Skylar has a true and real connection. She seems to be the only one, who can calm Mason's symptoms, and soul. Skylar stood up for him, they were a team, she took care of him, and gave new reasons to look forward to a new day. How she got his back, even with the meddling family, and made it possible for him to have a relationship with the large family, was admirable. The dialog in the story is so entertaining and fun, it cracked me up. The conflict in their relationship was not overplayed, it was a serious matter, but Mason took his responsibility in it, and I loved the solution, how they arrived into it. Skylar's understanding towards the situation that Mason is in, the way they took care of each other, and not the least, the incredible steaming hot connection they have, was completely swoon worthy. I'm so glad I run into this story, and I am looking forward to the next installment of the series, coming out in August. Truly, a fun summer read! ~ Four Spoons with a teaspoon on the side

Love So Irresistible, by Marquita Valentine, is the third book in her Lawson Brother’s series.  In this story we meet Navy Seal Mason Lawson and piano teacher Skylar Jernigan.  Skylar has moved next door to Mason who is recovering from PTSD and other injuries sustained in combat.  Skylar is teaching music the town’s children, nut the noise is driving Mason nuts.  He can’t handle the loudness.  These two characters are both broken and need help in healing, which Ms. Valentine allows to happen as the story progresses. It’s not just the chemistry between Mason & Skylar that creates this wonderful story.  Then there is the way each wants to help the other live, love, and gain that needed confidence to trust one another.  Skylar buys noise reducing headphones for Mason.  Mason pays to have her air conditioning repaired so Skylar can close the windows.  Skylar buys too much food and shares it with Mason, so he will eat.  Mason takes Skylar out on his boat and swimming in the ocean, teaching her to relax.  Skylar is a gift musician and Mason shows her that there is more to life. I really enjoyed revisiting with the people of the town of Jessamine, including the McCoy sisters and Brody’s brothers.  It’s perfect that Ms. Valentine’s the town is located near Holland Springs, home to her previous series. It was also interesting to learn that Skylar’s mother is a Holland, one more connection. Ms. Valentine's gift of writing wonderful and sexy books shines throughout this book.  I cannot say enough how much I loved this story.   I highly recommend this book as readers will fall in love with this couple, the town, and the secondary characters.  I cannot wait for the next book in this series which features Tristan, Mason’s twin.

Mason Lawson is a former Navy SEAL who is learning to put his life back together after being injured in combat. To say he's not handling it very well is an understatement. He doesn't want to interact with his family or any of the friends he had prior to his deployment. Boomer, his service dog, is about all he can tolerate. When a new neighbor moves in next door and disrupts the peace with the music lessons she gives to children, little does Mason know she might just be the person to change his life. Skylar Jernigan is new to Jessamine and after moving around most of her life, she feels like she's finally found a home. She's enjoying the children she teaches music to even if she's being razzed by her neighbor because of the noise. Not long after a scathing phone call from her neighbor Mason, she is alerted to the fact he needs help after he takes a fall. She goes to help and she quickly becomes the one person Mason doesn't detest being around. As the two form an unlikely friendship, the begin to realize there is more to what they are both feeling. While Mason is still in the midst of dealing with his PTSD, Skylar knows if she's patient, everything could work out for the best for the both of them. That is until the day that Mason tells her he's only using her to try to get back to the life he was living before. Needless to say, things end between the two right then and there. When the call comes from his former commander telling him the Navy wants him back, Mason begins training hard to get back to the life he once had. When things don't go as planned, his brothers try to point out what the most important thing should be to him. Will he take their advice and open his eyes to the best thing life has to offer? Marquita Valentine has done a fantastic job creating a story that deals truthfully with PTSD and how it not only effects the sufferer, but also their friends, family and acquaintances. I really enjoyed this story and I'm looking forward to the next Lawson brothers book!

This was the best Lawson book yet. Loved that Skylar caught her Seal.

This is the third book in The Lawson Brothers series. I have to be honest I loved all of them, but Mason just pulls at the heartstrings.  Mason is home recuperating from an injury that he acquired on his most recent mission as a Navy SEAL. He has been avoiding family and friends and the last thing he needs in his life is a friendly neighbor who just happens to be a music teacher to a bunch of kids who are coming and going all day long. Skylar is enjoying settling into her new life in Jessamine. She is loving her new job, the town, her new house and most of the people except maybe for her neighbor. That is until he falls outside of her home and needs her help because he has no one else and he is trying to keep his family away. She soon realizes that his injuries are more than physical and she is slowly falling for this rough around the edges man. I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.   Lori P

Love So Irresistible by Marquita Valentine is the third in her Lawson Brothers series. I really enjoyed this one. It is about Mason Lawson a former navy seal. He is in both physical and emotional pain from his days serving his country. He just wants peace and solitude which is hard in a small southern town with a large family. He just wants to be left alone. There is only one problem a very tempting woman has moved next door. Skylar Jernigan is a music teacher who teaches from her home. Can Skylar help Mason return to life and learn to love again? Even if you haven’t read anything by Marquita Valentine, I think this will be a great start. After reading this I think you will want to read her other books. I love that she throws in references to her other series like Holland Springs but not so much that they get in the way of the story. Everyone loves when a wounded warrior finds love so irresistible.

Love So Irresistible is another great addition to the Lawson's Brother's stories. As I read more of their books, I fall more and more in love with this family. So far, Mason is my favorite Lawson brother. He is a former Nave SEAL who comes home and wants to live in solitude. That is, until he actually met his neighbor. Skylar is an incredible character. She has a passion for music and wants to share her passion by teaching children how to play. Then Mason enters her life, and changes everything. Their story gives me hope. It makes my heart swell. I didn't want this book to end. I highly recommend all Marquita's books, but this one, by far, is my favorite.

Wounded Navy SEAL Mason Lawson is home and attempting to recover from his injuries but his new neighbor Skylar Jernigan has too much noise coming from her home.  All he wants is peace and quiet and unfortunately she is a music teacher and her students are children. They finally meet when Mason has had enough and while he is storming between their homes he has an episode of PTSD and injures himself and she comes to his rescue. What ensues is a heart-warming story of love and discovery and coming back from the edge. It was a pleasure to watch these two find their way to each other.   **Reached an ARC prior to publication in return for an honest review**

Amazing addition to the Lawson Brothers series. I loved Mason, faults and all, and think sweet, kind Skylar is the perfect match for him. He's an ex seal, home from the war a bit broken and a whole lot bitter. She's kindness and firmness and is willing to show him all the things he's missing by not living his life. Great writing and characters make this a book no one should miss. I highly recommend it.

Marquita Valentine writes stories that are beautiful, emotionally stimulating treasures. Each and every story that I have read by her has been worth the journey. Love So Irresistible is no exception. Mason, a former Navy Seal is is fighting his way back from physical and mental injury. A broken man he pushes everyone including family away. Skylar is his next door neighbor. Skylar has her own insecurities steaming from a young age. Can these two people help each other heal? You will laugh, cry and cheer for Mason and Skylar. Received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
