MUST READ 2 person POV story that will blow your mind and leave you craving even more. I was shocked and amazed on just about every story, My emotions where high and couldn't be any better. Reaching the end really sucked, I wasn't expecting to see my self so engrossed into the story that I didn't want it to end I just wanted it to keep on going. That's the plus side to any of this author's work you get sucked into it from the characters, the story line which is always and eye opener great and you can't stop. Trust me and read the series, they all seem like they can be read alone but they make so much more better sense when they are read together. I love the Lawson boys and the crazy love filled women they each have. ***I received this story for free in exchange for an honest review, see more of my review @ http://jmhoward2007.blogspot.com/2016/04/promo-review-love-so-unexpected-by.html ***

I love The Lawson Brothers Series by Marquita Valentine! Love So Unexpected is the six book in this series and is about Caleb Lawson. Caleb lost the love of his life twelve years ago and hasn't been interested in anyone else seriously since, in fact he has barely dated. Watching his brothers find their wives and starting families makes Caleb feel like he is missing out, but not only that he is lonely too. He doesn't think that he will find anyone that he can love as much as he had his wife until Sofia shows up in town. Sofia is determined to make a new life for herself, but she hits a stumbling block when someone robs her and takes every penny that she has to her name. She doesn't think it is by chance that she ends up stranded in the town where her mother's best friend from college lives, but fate especially when she meets Caleb. Can her knew life happen in a small town and with it include a quiet farmer to love? I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

I fell in love with the Lawson Brothers series with the first book and have found the books just keep getting better and better with each new story. I totally and completely fell in love with Caleb Lawson and was so happy we finally got his story in Love So Unexpected. One of the things I love about the Lawson men is they figure out very quickly how they feel about the women in the lives and have no problems saying I love you first. I knew it would take a special woman to bring Caleb out of his life of only farming, and I have to say Sofia Nogales was so perfect for him. I love that she was instantly attracted to Caleb and had him talking when very few others could ever get him to talk. The fact that Caleb was equally attracted to Sofia made me so very happy. I'll be honest and say I was afraid Apple McCoy would try and re-enter Caleb's life and I was so very happy she was not the woman for him. I like Apple, but she just never fit my idea of someone Caleb would fall for after his wife Iris died. I absolutely loved watching Sofia fit in with the Lawson family and look for ways to fit into Jessamine. I knew she was only in town for a short time, but the more time Sofia and Caleb spent together, the more I wanted her to stay long-term. I really loved how strong the chemistry was between Caleb and Sofia from the moment they met. Whether they are joking around, just sitting together or making love, they connected on every level. I also loved the Caleb loved Sofia so much he was willing to do anything to help her be able to stay in Jessamine. Love So Unexpected was another winner in the Lawson Brothers series. While Tristan and Lemon's books remains my absolute favorite in the series, Caleb and Sofia almost kicked them out of the top spot. I loved watching them fall in love and both finally find true happiness. Marquita Valentine writes wonderful emotion filled romances, and I love how she pulls me into every single story.

The Lawsons are a family of hardworking, flamboyant personalities that love and live wholeheartedly. Love So Unexpected is the sixth book of the series. Caleb is the loner. The brother who from a young age has traveled a path of tragedy that has left him scarred and wary. His devotion to his family and his land is obvious but has closed his heart to anything more. Sophia has had a run of bad luck lately that has her pulling up roots and seeking purpose. A helping hand from a surprising source places her and Caleb on a journey that will bring change and healing to two lonely hearts. My favorite part of the story was Dinah. She is truly a mother bear protecting her cub in the case of all her children and I thought it was moving that she appointed herself as Sophia's guardian angel despite no true family connection. Caleb was stronger than he gave himself credit for but it was great that his mom (Dinah) was there for backup when needed. What I love about the Lawsons is that rather by blood or through love, family is the most important thing to them.

Love So Unexpected is the latest in the Lawson Brothers series by Marquita Valentine. Caleb Lawson is a farmer who has lost the love of his life – his childhood sweetheart and wife. He doesn’t think he will ever find a love like that again. Enter Sofia Nogales who lands on his mother’s doorstep. This story lives up to its name. Both Caleb and Sofia, find an unexpected love. Can they both let go of the past and embrace the future. I loved Caleb’s story and you will too. I think we all wish we could find a Caleb to love.

Marquita Valentine hits another one out of the park with this book, book 6 in the Lawson Brothers series. Caleb Lawson is a loner. He has been all his life, but especially after losing his wife 13 years ago at the young age of 21. His family wants him to move on, but he has been unable to. Deep down he still blames himself for his wife's death. Just as he decides maybe it's time to find someone new to share his life with, Sophia finds herself at a train station with nothing more than fifty dollars she has stuck in her bra to her name. When Mrs. Lawson shows up to rescue her and offers to let her stay at the Lawson family farm. Sophia learns that Dinah Lawson and her mother were friends in college and even though Sophia doesn't really remember Mrs. Lawson was there to comfort her at her mothers funeral. Sophia and Caleb are immediately draw to each other, however Sophia does not want to act on this attraction as she has dreams of being a head chef in a fancy restaurant in Georgia and she sees her stay in Jessamine as temporary and Caleb is a forever kind of person. Their romance develops and there is even talk of love, but can they overcome his past and her desire at a bright future in the big city? This book had me in tears prior to the first chapter. Those who have read the previous Lawson books are familiar with Caleb and his quiet ways and his heartbreak. I really enjoyed getting to know Caleb and Sophia and cannot wait for more of the Lawson Brothers (and cousins)! I was given an advanced reader copy for an honest review.

Caleb and Sofia have a love that is unexpected. Caleb understands tragedy after losing his wife and spending 13 years as a widower. Sofia is having a run of bad luck that landed her in Jessamine, North Carolina, and Dinah Lawson picking her up at the bus station. Something clicks between them from their first meeting at the breakfast table and watching Caleb come back to life made this mama sigh. When the Lawson men fall in love they are "all in" and Caleb is no exception and he proves that. Sofia is definitely woman enough for him and even though she came to town with plans to only be there temporarily it was interesting how she ended up getting it all. **Received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review**

An incredibly sweet story of a man who has endured great loss in his life slowly coming back to life after meeting someone who finally peaks his interest. Caleb Lawson has always been the quiet reserved Lawson brother but when he lost his wife and unborn child at the age of 22 he really withdrew from living. After a period of dangerous behavior, his brothers helped him get himself together and since that time 12 years ago, he's stayed to himself working the farm and never looking for more. When his parents have an unexpected visitor Caleb is immediately attracted to the very vibrant Sofia and her zest for life seems to awaken something in him that only she can handle. Definitely a book I recommend.

My Rating: 4.5 Sweet Stars Favorite Quotes: “Word of warning – stay away from this one. He preens more than a peacock at sunrise.” “You’ve become like a daughter to Dinah and me. I want to make sure my son knows how we truly fell about you and that he’ll have to answer to us when he does stupid stuff.” My Review: I am enjoying this series and this author – both being relatively recent finds on my TBR to be totally honest. I adore Ms. Valentine’s writing style, sweet romances, lovable characters, banter and rivalries between the small town families, and supportive relationships of the family and friends. With Love So Unexpected, I particularly enjoyed the inner dialogues of both main characters and how they argued with themselves. A quick, sweet, and slightly steamy read that kept me happily entertained and occupied for an afternoon.
