“It all works, and it is so, so satisfying.” —Foreword Reviews
Make me believe it, even if it's just for one night…
Micah Geller considers himself lucky: At 27, he has more money than he needs, a job he loves, a debut book coming out and a brilliant career in information security before him. What he doesn’t have is a partner to share it with—a fact that’s never bothered him much.
But the romantic in him isn’t entirely dead. When a moment of weakness finds him with a contact to a high class escort specializing in fulfilling fantasies, Micah asks for only one thing: Show me what it’s like to feel loved.

FiveStars This was a beautiful story. Micah takes a chance on a escort service to fulfill his fantasy of feeling loved. You would think that you would wonder is the escort giving you what you paid for or is it for real. This is Micah and Angel's story. A very well put together story that has you hoping for the HEA. Micah was a lonely and scared man, but I thought that he didn't let himself go to enjoy himself. Angel had tons of secrets, but treated Micah with respect and love. The relationship that develops between the two is beautiful. I felt Aiden taught Micah so much about relationships and love, and brought out the best in him. There was one secondary character I thought added so much to the book. Daphne, Micah's FRIEND, she was loud, bubbly and very nosey. She was always there for Micah. I enjoyed reading this book very much. It is a perfect book if YOUR looking for HEA. I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads. Sherry FiveStars This is a sweet, romantic story that made me laugh, cry, and believe in true love all over again. I couldn't put it down. At first, I wasn't sure how I felt. I liked Micah right away, but I didn't care at all for Daphne. However, her obnoxious BEHAVIOR set the stage for one of the most fun, heartbreaking, wonderful love stories I've read in ages. The whole thing felt a lot like some of my favorite date movies—neither a tragic, overwrought drama nor an over-the-top comedy, this had a nice blend of emotions, action, and humor. I absolutely fell in love with Angel right along with Micah. Even though being an escort wasn't his dream in life, he was not ashamed of who he was. I liked the dynamic with Micah, too. He was worried his family would think less of him, but he himself was also never ashamed of Angel. No wonder, because even though we never see inside Angel's head, I think he's one of the most complex and interesting characters I've read in a long time. Plus, I always love when bisexual men are well-represented, and Ms. Fierro does an excellent JOB. The only negative thing I have to say is that I think it was a chapter too long. There was nothing in the last chapter that really added to the story, and it kind of cheapened the resolution of Micah and Angel's relationship for me. Other than that, this was fantastic. Anyone who needs a dose of optimism is sure to feel all warm and fuzzy inside after reading. I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads. 5 stars Amy
I was so excited to get the opportunity to be an advance reader for the gorgeous book Loved Starved! From the title alone I expected a story of romance, desperation, drama, and angst that would keep me hooked until the very last page. I was absolutely right, but Kate’s debut novel went beyond that and surpassed my expectations. The premise alone peaked my interest; an escort hired by a workaholic and given the ultimate challenge: to manufacture love. I was intrigued, a little skeptical, excited, and not at all prepared for how much I’d grow to love her characters. “What did feeling loved mean, anyway?” The novel is told from the point of view of 27 year-old Micah Geller, giving us an introduction to his seemingly dull, sad, work-centered life. Fleeting glimpses of his personality and mention of a past heartbreak make the reader immediately yearn to see underneath his lonely exterior. It was easy to side with his bubbly and romantic best friend Daphne, who becomes the catalyst for the excitement and romance of the remainder of the book by recommending Angel’s services. Kate makes the brilliant move of introducing the escort Angel early on in the novel, a specialist in creating any client’s perfect fantasy. Micah’s first conversation with Angel shatters every barrier Micah had created for himself…not to mention solidifying my enjoyment of the story. And if that scene was my first selling point, Angel’s arrival sealed the deal; I fell for him when he introduced himself and his plan to make Micah feel loved. “I am here to fulfill your fantasy, every little bit of it, and I want you to be selfish, to be greedy, to take what you need.” After a date as romantic as it is thoughtful, the reality of the illusion sets in and the consequences begin to escalate. What starts off as a white lie soon encompasses Micah’s entire life, leading Micah, Angel and the reader to continuously question…what exactly is the lie? Who is acting and what is real? How and why does the trust between them seem so strong…and how fragile is trust when it is bought? These questions and more provide conflict and tension as both men protect themselves from hurt we can sense lurking underneath the surface. When secrets are abruptly discovered, both men are thrown into a state of uncertainty just as enticing and taunting as the beginning but with an ever more personal touch. The passion is intimate and incredibly hot, and the drama page-turning and exciting. Kate writes both characters incredibly well but Angel really stood out for me; he felt so real that I quickly grew to care about him despite the fact that he is quite the mystery. Kate makes it incredibly easy to relate to both men, and my heart often would ache for the walls they both desperately tried to protect themselves behind. I immensely enjoyed following their journey. Nervous anticipation, desperate hope, painful regret, passion, confusion, frustration – the reader feels it all along with the characters. Two strangers: a customer and a provider of services. “This was a business transaction. Nothing more.” But nothing could be further from the truth. Find out for yourself by reading Love Starved!!
This book is amazing and a definite must read! You can easily relate to the main character Micah who just wants to know what it feels like to be loved, even if its only for one night. Where life takes him after his one encounter with the escort sets a thrilling, heartbreaking, and utterly romantic story that keeps you on edge. It will have you cheering, smiling, and crying throughout Micah's story. If you are in the mood to read a romantic story unlike one you have ever read before, I highly recommend you taking a chance on this book. You won't regret it!
