Twenty-one brand new tales of romantic suspense, and it supports a great cause! Hard to beat that. I read Chris Patchell's Deception Bay and once again, this author has surpassed my expectations. This story is a bit different than Patchell's other work, but the fundamentals remain the same - terrific characters and a story you can't put down. Austin is a great combo of sarcastic and witty, plus he's a bit broken by his past. I absolutely loved this guy! We have two mysteries to solve in this one, one from the past, and one happening in the here and now, and we get a bit of sweet romance for our hero as an added bonus. All in all, another wonderfully entertaining story from this author in a set that promises to be equally entertaining.

This review is for The Haunting of Hillwood Farm by Kathryn Knight. Callie has a gift of speaking with ghosts, a gift which changed her life forever. When an elderly widow begs for her help, she agrees. From the moment Callie sets foot on Hillwood Farm, she senses danger. A vindictive spirit is terrorizing both Mrs. Turner and her drop-dead gorgeous grandson, Luke. But Callie’s disrupting the ghost’s plans and instead turns its vengeance on her. Accidents turn Callie’s calm demeanor to icy fear. Will she survive long enough to help rid Hillwood Farm of this ghost and more importantly, will Callie and Luke let down their walls and surrender to love? I can honestly confess this book scared me to death. Once the haunting began, I clung to my tablet and couldn’t look away. The paranormal descriptions were so realistic and life-like, my significant other had to keep telling me to breathe. Think Samara from The Ring and you’ll get a sense of what I’m talking about. By the time I finished, I could only read it in the daylight and with someone else present. Callie and Luke’s romance is slow-burning which I loved. It also added depth and a sweetness to the otherwise tense-filled story. Sure, they had issues to work through but every couple deals with conflict. If you’re looking for a spooky romantic suspense, you’ll love The Haunting of Hillwood Farm. Kathryn Knight has mastered the art of paranormal romantic suspense and it’s a must-read! Favorite Character/Quote: Callie. Her emotional trials when dealing with ghosts and all things paranormal called out to me. She’s gone through so much and by the end of the book, I wanted her to just be able to get a good night’s sleep. My Rating: 5+ stars

A nice collection of stories. The author I’m most familiar with is K.M Hodge but I also liked that I got to discover new authors too and there were a couple I would definitely read more of.

This was a FUN read! I enjoyed getting to experience multiple authors. It ends on a high note with Buckle Bunny.

Cold Red I Initially came to this book with no prior experience in the world of Iniquus, so I wasn’t carrying any baggage about Finley’s previous bad behaviour. I cannot even begin to imagine how difficult it must be for an author to redeem a character the way it sounds like Finley needed to be. Now that it’s over, I need the next book NOW! I also need to go back and read the whole rest of the series that came before. This story stands perfectly well on its own with just enough teasers about the other stories to make my one-click finger itchy. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this story from the author.
