About the Author

A native New Yorker, USA TODAY Bestselling author Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August! Author of more than a dozen contemporary novels, including a finalist for the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart award, Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after. Very sweet, well written and edited, second time around love story. A quick, but enjoyable read! Loved the characters and depth she was able to give them, in about 70 pages. Will be looking for more of her books!

I did enjoy ths book. It was a calmer, less excitable book than the rest of the series, but still very, very good.

You have got to be kidding me. It was only 76 pages of painful writing and so mundane my high school teacher would have put a big zero on it and send me home to write it again.

What a wonderful story! I am fairly new to Chris Keniston's awesome writing but I love the Aloha series, so I was delighted when I was offered the opportunity to review the expanded version. Ms Keniston develops wonderfully warm stories with sizzle and an intriguing plot in every book. The strength of her woman characters as much as her awesome hunks keeps pulling me back to this series. This book focuses on two topics that especially interest me as a retired school librarian and teacher: autism and bullying. If you have read earlier book in the series you already know that the Everett family stepped up to protect the Maggie and the kids while Annette was in the hospital recovering from a devastating plane crash. Now two years later Annette and the kids have settled and the Everettes and their friends still surround the family with warmth and support. Adam, a fascinating young man, gets in a fight a school for protecting a boy who it turns out is high functioning autistic. The way Annette handles the junior high bullying and the relationship that develops between the boy's widowed father gives us another beautiful and sweet tale that will tug on the heart of any reader while providing enough laughs to keep the tears at bay. I believe the book could be read as a standalone but I guarantee that it will make you want to read the other books in the series.

Fabulous heartwarming story. I could feel for the father of the autistic teen and cheered for those who stood by him. The love story was the cherry on the desert. Another great read from Chris Keniston !
