Love You, Always by Cristin Cooper

Caring for her three children had been Anna’s only priority in the aftermath of losing the man she’d loved since she was seventeen years old.
Forced to move forward with her life, Anna enrolled in college where she made a friend who had been there and done that. She also hired a sexy younger man to tutor her in math who also taught her how to have fun again. And she met a man who wanted to love her whether she wanted him to or not.
Will the lessons Anna learned her first year of college give her strength to live again? Or will her inability to let go keep her from having a second chance at love?

About the Author

I've been a lot of things in my life including a chiropractic assistant, insurance processor, manufacturing parts scheduler, shipper, BLM firefighter, baby wrangler but my favorite so far has been wife, mother and now author. I love reading, writing and sunshine. I've been writing since I was a teenager but didn't write/finish my first novel until I was 38. Now at forty, I'm braving the world of self-publishing.

I have to admit, the blurb and the cover intrigued me. Ryan & Anna were the quintessential high-school sweethearts. They grew up together, fell in love and got married as soon as they could and had 3 children. One night, their life is struck by tragedy and Anna's plans of going back to college speed up. She meets Ryan in her math class. He is not her classmate, but her professor. The story unfolds from there, but I found many loose ends when I reached the end. What happened to Brad, her math tutor (and the other point of the potential love triangle)? He just fell from the story after developing a story line of his own. There are some other characters who I think could have been developed and given an exit as the plot narrowed onto Anna & Adam. Their story, and the parallel storyline of Kitty & Adam's dad was well developed and given and arc. I did enjoy the story, it even made me cry when I considered the emotions that Anna was feeling as she worked her way toward a new life without Ryan. Very well written. It just left me feeling disconcerted at the end because I wanted to know about the other characters' fates. It seemed like the author rushed to wrap up the story.

Emotional read about the ups and downs after loss and finding love again. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
