A Unique Take on Love Poems Love's Lies and Other Deceptions by Mukesh Chhajer is a new book of poetry that will inspire, excite, and captivate the reader's imagination. After reading a book by Osho, entitled “love, freedom, aloneness”, the author found Osho’s definition and analysis of love to be very thought provoking and inspired Mukesh to write about love. He describes "a love that is pure and unblemished; a love that is serene yet mischievous, unyielding yet fluid, uncompromising yet caring, exacting yet joyous." These thoughts and inspirations are the catalyst of Love's Lies and Other Deceptions. Each poem is quite simple in format and length, yet interestingly complex in the thoughts behind them. Very intriguing and inspirational book of love poetry.

Reviewed by Mamta Madhavan for Readers' Favorite Love's Lies and Other Deceptions by Mukesh Chhajer is a collection of poems revolving around the theme of love. Love has been a favorite topic among artists, writers, and poets and a lot has been said and written about the subject. The collection here is the poet's interpretation of the subject. His perspective on the subject is deep and thought provoking, revealing to readers the emotions related to love. The poems are evocative and they tell us how we all strive to achieve love in our lives. The poems stand out in their brevity and elegance. The author's minimalist approach in writing adds to the impact of his ideas and feelings. The narrator's thoughts on the topic vary from poem to poem, giving readers an expansive view on the subject. Every poem is an honest attempt to capture the essence of love. It is always difficult to write about love without sounding cliched; mainly because it is a common and repetitive theme among poets. The author has a way with words that does not make readers feel that they are reading about an oft-repeated theme. These words show the observations of the poet on love: 'A rose amongst thorns  A lotus amidst mud  An oasis in a desert  Love and its entourage' Likewise, many poems reveal the contemplative and reflective mood of the author. It is difficult for me to choose any specific poems because all of them capture love in its different moods and shades, and unfold beautifully in front of readers.
