I am nothing like my family. But I’m held captive by their secrets and lies.
I should have listened to that voice in my head and left Susan alone. But I couldn’t just walk away. She was the only brightness in my life—a life of living in the shadows cast by the evil that surrounded me.
She taught my heart to love. But in return, she was forced to run away and leave everything behind, including me. After that, my life was never the same.
I no longer live—I survive. I survive to protect her from my family.
I didn’t deserve another chance with Susan, but an accidental meeting years later gave me just that. And selfishly, I couldn’t let her go—I never could. Unfortunately, neither would my family.
Only able to communicate in secret, Susan and I had to wait for the day that my family’s truths would be exposed and we could finally be together. Until then, I would tell their lies and keep my silence. But I will have my revenge.
Some would think our story is one of loss. But sometimes through loss, we discover the most precious gifts of all.
*Intended for readers 18+.
**This is the follow-up novella to Absolute Love, but can also be read as a standalone.

This book was fantastic! If you read Absolute Love (the first book in the series), Love’s Sacrifice brings that book even more to life. This story was not a retelling of the first book from a different perspective, nor was it a continuation from where book one left off. It was pure genius! Love’s Sacrifice, told the story of Aaron and what he had to do and sacrifice to keep those he loved, safe. It spanned from when he was a kid in school right up through present day where he is a grandfather. Questions I had from book 1 were answered in this book. Love’s Sacrifice also had perspectives from Susan, Phoebe, and others to help enhance the story line. Even though this is book 2 in the series, you don’t have to read book 1 first because this spans time before, during, and after the time period in book 1. But if you do read this first, you will definitely want to read book 1 after. To me, this was a really unique way to write the second book in the series and I loved it!
* I received an ebook in exchange for an honest review. * If you loved the book Absolute Love, you will instantly have a new favorite in Love's Sacrifice! This is a can't miss novella!! You will laugh, cry, yell, scream and feel each and every loss, triumph, and pain as you read through the story. This is a whole box of tissues type of read and one that I recommend you start when you have nothing to do at all other than read this book. You will become hooked on this story, the characters, the drama, love and the insight of their lives that the author hinted at in book 1. This story takes you back to the first days and ends the reader at the present day with more drama, tension, love and loss than you think is actually possible. This novella is about Susan and Aaron (Phoebe’s parents) and how their love was doomed from the start. It takes us back to the early days and shows us how the characters felt about the events of book 1. You really should read book 1 (Absolute Love) but you can pick up this book and understand pretty much everything that is going on. I loved the characters, the setting and the way that the author was able to grasp my attention and never let it go. She reeled the reader in through her attention to detail and kept the reader going through the good, bad and ugly that is life. I highly recommend that you add this book to your TBR list and fast track it straight to the top - this is author is going to quickly become your new favorite author and you will be clamoring for more once you read these 2 books! Don't hesitate to jump into the world that Erin Everleigh has created - it is one full of love, loss and destiny. Enjoy this one and her others as I am now a life-long fan of this author!!
Love's Sacrifice is a fantastic addition to the Absolute Series. It tells the story of Absolute Love (the first book in the series) from Aaron's point of view which helps to explain more of why Aaron and Susan weren't been able to be together. I loved learning more details of the back story along with finding out what happens with Aaron and Phoebe. Erin Everleigh's writing is so real that I felt Aaron's unconditional love for Susan and Phoebe along with his pain, anger, and despair for the situation they were in that kept them apart. The Absolute Series is not the normal cookie cutter romance where everyone is guaranteed a HEA. I think that's one of the things that I really love about it. In real life nothing is guaranteed and even though I knew what happened to Susan from Absolute Love, when Aaron found out I truly hurt for him and their lost chance at being together. The emotions in Love's Sacrifice were so real and raw that I cried a few times.
