Overview

Walsh Clark has survived a lot--alcoholism, the break-up his band, Lush, and the betrayal of the love of his life, Tammy DiLorenzo. Now Walsh is hiding out on a ranch in north Texas, working to stay sober and steer clear of his old life.

Tammy DiLorenzo knows how to be one thing: Walsh Clark's girlfriend. Together since they were fourteen, Walsh and Tammy are a rock and roll institution, and she's not about to give that up, even if Walsh has run away to hide.

When Tammy walks back into Walsh's life, the sparks fly, the heartache is hard, and the damage could be permanent. How much love does it take to forgive? And do Tammy and Walsh have enough of it to survive?

Wow this was such a great book! There were a LOT of emotions running around during this story and also a lot of ‘mending of hearts’ so to speak. The characters and the story line really came together to tell a great story that drew me in from the very beginning. Walsh and Tammy are not in a great place when the story starts. In fact, they’re in a non-existent place with each other at the beginning of the book. However, over time it was easy to see that they still had a really intense connection with each other. They both have a ton of soul searching and both have had to deal with past mistakes and learn how to be better people. I really admire them both for all that they’ve been through and still persevered. Their friends have grown up some too which was great to see. This is a definite must read. The characters are well written and had depth and dimension that made them feel like real people and not just book characters. This story was intense and emotional at times but also had bits of levity. The story line flowed well and was easy to read. I actually read it in an evening since I couldn’t put it down. I think it was a wonderful book and I’m giving it a 5 out of 5 stars!

This is the second book in the Lush Series and Selena Laurence does not disappoint. The story is full of confusion, remorse and guilt, with well detailed characters that have remarkable chemistry. A secret was revealed and sends Walsh and Tammy on separate journeys to find peace. They must each find forgiveness within themselves before they can truly move forward. They love each other so deeply it hurts to be apart but can they overcome their demons and move forward! I truly love this enthralling series and highly recommend you read it. Gifted copy for review.

Tammy's search for Walsh lands her in Texas at the Double A Ranch where he is working hard to stay sober but what be doesn't realize is that a little help from friends and family will help with his recovery too....but he doesn't realize it until Tammy is gone for good ?....or is she ?  Ronny and Leanna Silva run the Double A Ranch, Ronny a recovering alcoholic himself runs the ranch and is Walsh's sponsor, so when Leannne hires Tammy to help serve lunch and dinner to the ranch workers Ronny isn't sure it is a good idea to have Tammy around Walsh yet until he decides whether he is ready to be around her again. Tammy thinks she is ready with her recovery also but is she really ready to handle life with Walsh again too ?? There tragic life story is truly a LOVE LUSH story !! There are a few new faces in the story...Mrs.S is the BOMB !! This story had you wanting more and more as you kept turning each page ....loved seeing Mike, Colin, Joss and Little D (Megan) too !!  Selena branded our hearts again with Love and Lush !! Can't wait for more !!

Tammy and Walsh almost crushed me. They have been in love since they were teenagers but as life happens and pressures mount, bad decisions are made pushing them apart. Can they heal themselves? Will they be able to repair their broken relationship? Ultimately they both have a lot to deal with to find a way forward and Selena Laurence keeps us on the edge of our seat as their story unfolds. I loved every tear jerking moment of For the Love of a Lush. What an amazing romance to dive into.

This book is better than the first one, and the first one was  good. This story is great. The author seems to have an authentic knowledge of addiction and it's consequences.

For the Love of a Lush by Selena Laurence is an amazing love story.  It touches on some very, very difficult subjects.  Lies, betrayal, addiction, anger, depression, some really rough stuff.  But Laurence gave me terrific characters, all of them, and a really strong story line.  I loved this book a lot.
