## Another spectacular book by this amazingly talented author. What a fun and sexy read. Both Josh and Cara were extremely likeable. Cara was sweet and very playful, which I always treasure in a heroine. So incredibly loving. And what can I say about Josh? Humina, humina! Just the cover alone makes me want a Josh of my very own. Wow. I loved that Ms. Proby let this couple enjoy so much laughter together. My only problem was that there was too much emphasis on the heroine's weight, but the rest was so stellar that I still had to rate it five stars. I'm so looking forward to Ty and Zack's stories in the future. And on a quick side note: If you haven't read Ms. Proby's Seattle series about the Montgomery family, you are seriously missing out. "Play with me" is my favorite.

Oh my word! Kristen Proby has done it again! Another phenomenal, must read book!!!!! Ahhh!!! Such a great start to what I know will be a fantastic series!! Super excited person here!!! *raises hand!* HUGE fan of Kristen Proby! HUUUUUUUUUUUGE! =) “I love you, Carolina Donovan, more than I ever thought possible.” When Cara accepted her summer job, she never imagined just how much her life would change. Sure, she always thought Josh King was hot, but that was it. They would see each other around town and they’d wave a polite ‘hello’ here and there, but there really wasn’t anything to it. So really, this was just a tutoring job. Nothing more, nothing less. Wrong. Josh King used to tease Cara (in a silly way) in high school. So he really didn’t think it would be a big deal to have her tutor his nephew, Seth, for the summer. He saw her around town, but it wasn’t until she showed up at his door, that he really noticed her. “Your eyes are amazing, Cara.” “They’re kind of weird,” I whisper. “No, they’re not weird.” He shakes his head slowly. “I’ve just never seen eyes that go from amber to hazel to green. I wonder what color they are when you’re turned on?” How long can two people hold off from what was clearly inevitable? Cara tried to keep her relationship with Josh professional. He was not only her boss – sort of, but she had to think about Seth and how her situation with Josh would affect him. For that, I couldn’t really blame her. I mean, poor Seth!!! No kid should ever have to endure what he did, especially at that age! I seriously wanted to hug and console him and tell him everything will be okay. Sigh. My heart broke for Seth... Well anyway, when Josh wants something, he goes for it, and he wanted Cara. Their relationship was sweet and oh so passionate. Gosh!!!! Josh was swoon-worthy for sure. He 100% fits what I call the ‘Kristen Proby Men’ type. You know, the romantic with a very yummy alpha side, type of guy! The kind that is simply put, a panty-dropper!!!!!!!! The kind that melts your heart!!! *fans self* Should I go on??? *giggles* Oh, and I’m SURE Ty and Zach are just as yummy!!!!!!!!! Squueeeee!! I seriously can’t wait to see this series unfold. I really loved all the characters. They were so down to earth, witty, and easy to relate to. The story line in Loving Cara was hands down fantastic and Kristen Proby’s writing style was amazing as usual. The book flowed smoothly and naturally, and I fully connected with it. I swooned, squirmed, and fell in love right alongside Cara and Josh. My heart broke and healed with Seth and Zach, I laughed with Jill and Ty, and I got angry because of Misty – God, what an irritating woman!!! Ugh. But really, I was right there with all the characters… Loved it. Do yourself a favor and go buy this book. I promise you will not be disappointed. And even though this is book one in the series, it does have its happy ending, so feel free to one-click! I can’t wait for book two – Ty and Lauren’s story!! I highly recommend Loving Cara to everyone!! Like always, Kristen Proby, you did a marvelous job!!!! ***A copy of "Loving Cara" was provided in exchange for an honest review. Thanks!***

Kristen brings this small town to life with an unlikely romance. Cara is a school teacher and Josh is running the family ranch. Magical things happen when you add a child that feels neglected by every adult he's loved. Perfect mix of relationships leaves me waiting for the next book!

My rating: 4.5 of 5 ¿¿ Cara Donovan has never wanted to live anywhere else. She is perfectly satisfied right where she is, so taking on a summer tutoring job in town is not a hardship. Finding out the difficult boy she is supposed to look after is the nephew of one Josh King, might be. Not that she doesn't like Josh, she might like him a little too much, and the waves and short hello's they've shared over the years have suited her just fine.  Josh barely recognizes Cara when she arrives at his house to tutor his nephew. She seems more outgoing and not quite as shy, even prettier than in high school. His interest is immediate and he doesn't hesitate to let her know. But bruised by years of teasing and weary of his reputation as a ladies' man, Cara wards off Josh' flirtations with a shake of her head and tries to set up boundaries.  When Josh sees something he wants he goes after it, and Cara is finding that out first hand. Not that she is resisting very hard after the first taste of his kiss. And when unforeseen circumstances put her in even closer proximity than the half days of tutoring, there is no holding back the sexual tension that explodes between them.  But when old insecurities and family pressures puts tension on this blossoming relationship, will they be able to withstand the strain? ***** In turn mellow and sweet, to then turn fiery and hot!! Kristen Proby's writing is as comfortable as a frequently washed quilt....land that is NOT an insult!! Take it from a quilter! Smooth and flowing, rich and warm and at times so darn hot, sweat breaks out all over the body!!! This is not an angsty book, there are no huge deep dark skeletons in the closet. There may be in future books judging by some of the prepatory work done on the supporting characters of this story, but Josh and Cara seem to be all American goodness. And they loooooove their bedroom (and anywhere, really!) antics!!  The most insightful bit of writing centres around Seth, Josh' nephew, who is the cause for Cara and Josh' 'reunion'. His story among all the adults is the truly sad one and he is lucky he has landed with people who care about him, including. Cara, who may not be related by blood, but quickly forms a bond of trust and love with the boy that seems to jump start him in the right direction. Cara, although perhaps a tad naive in matters of the heart, is open and insightful and smart. She is able to read both Seth and his situation quite well. The one she has a harder time with, at least when it comes to his interest in her, is Josh. But that has more to do with her self image than it does with any vibes Josh puts out there. He teaches her to look at herself in a different light over time, and she becomes a stronger person for it. Josh has always been a very responsible guy. Even though he has a bit of a reputation, not really deserved, he grew up knowing that running the family farm was something he would be doing. His focus has never wavered from that and he carries the load with great responsibility. Until Cara came along, he was content having one day move into the next. Now, he is learning, with her and with Seth, to seek out the happy moments, and there are plenty of them. I have such high hopes for this series! The manner in which the secondary characters have been outlined in this book bodes very well for an increased 'activity' in the novels to follow. Probable pairings have been made, tentative steps set. And I am left waiting for the next instalment..............♥¿ ¿No adrenaline rush, but a smile and a blush.......¿ **ARC provided by NetGalley and Pocket Books in return for an honest review.**

What should have been a good read, according to all of the positive reviews, was not readable because of the unnecessary profanity. The young boys language was even inappropriate. Why? It did nothing to enhance the story. In fact I had to stop reading after the first chapter which was unfortunate for me because I liked the story line. There apparently is an audience for this form of story telling because of some of the reviews. I did exercise my right to stop reading but I felt strongly about sharing a review. Praying for America.

Can't the author / editor get the hang of writing in the past tense? Did they both fail English 101? Telling a story in the present tense is temporally illogical as well as jarring to readers. Those who do understand the purpose of the past tense, that is.

This was my introduction to this author and I must say it left a very good first impression. With not being familiar with this authors writing style I wasn't sure quite what to expect, but it didn't take long for me to get sucked into this story. It had everything a good romance novel should have; captivating story line, characters with undeniable chemistry, and lots of blushworthy moments! You are in for a real literary treat with this book, small town living has never looked this good!! Highly recommend you aquaint yourself with this series!

This was a new author for me and I enjoyed this book. There were times when I was looking for something more then I couldn't put the book down. I liked the characters and the story line I just don't read a lot of authors who have chapters dedicated to a specific character and their thoughts.

Great story line and "real" characters. Cara was a vulnerable small town girl who had outgrown her kinky hair, overweight youth to become a school teacher in her home town. Josh was one of the towns "stars" who was now running his family ranch in Montana... Handsome and sought after he hires Cara to tutor his nephew (his twin brother's son) who has been dumped on the ranch by his mother... Zack is the twin who is serving in the military in Afganistan.. While Cara and Josh has known each other forever they both went away to college and lost touch till now... Flames ignite, but not without problems, and it is a very interesting ride you won't want to miss... Enough friends and family are involved to make for a VERY interesting series.. Seducing Laura is the next book and I can't wait to get my Nook loaded with that one...

Nice stand alone story. Liked that I could get a story that had chemistry, sparks, drama and a HEA. I have read other books by this author and enjoyed them. This is a new series that is set in a western/cowboy/small town background. I prefer her With me in Seattle series, checked them out. But this story about Josh and Cara is sweet. Looking forward to Ty's and Z's story. Then of course, Seth's story: a teenager that had a bad childhood with his Mom.
