I do not want to read about homosexuals. This is a fact that should be given. Will avoid this author in future. Homosexuality does not align with my values.

Story line pretty average, parents deceased yada yada, predictable stuff. Although not a smoker myself, it was kind of off beat with author making repeated and random references to smokers, smoking, cigarettes throughout entire book. Perhaps relevant to author on a personal level but irrelevant to story and this reader. Would not recommend this book.

Very well-written 170 page free romance book plus excerpt from next in series about Dani. Good book for younger to older age groups. The flipping back and forth gets a little anxcious for the plot, and also the angst of relationships is played up while the good is left a little flat in protrayal. Good soap opera type book.

This was an OK book and the story was OK. But, I thought the author could have found a better way to move the storyline along than always killing people off. The main character, her best friend, and her love interest all have at least two family member/friends die off. It just seemed a little too repetitive to have this keep happening throughout the story. And, there was not a whole lot of reason for most of it except for the main character's family. The other people could have had their story line advanced by a different method. And, I found the whole basis of the story to be kind of unbelievable and not realistic. There were just too many cliches in the story.

Well written story and I liked the characters. I just wished Cole had pulled his head out of his ass sooner. And also more story on the ending to round out all the waiting in the begining. That's just my two cents worth, but it was still good enough to look for the rest of the series. I found book #3 but couldn't find #2. SQ

A nice enough story, just a little too much angst and a little too much back story. Like this author's writing style and the characters in this story, would have really liked to have more story after the angst began to sort itself out! Appreciate the free read and will look for more of this author's books!

Awesome storyline but first half bordered on melodramatic! It got better and was a worthwhile read because story so accurately depicts reality in the 21st century. Regarding previous review about homosexuals, I may have to re-read because I don't remember this being about gays!

Enjoyed this read, and liked the characters. Would have liked more on their getting back together, and the ending seemed rushed.
