Humorous steamy romance! On the evening before her 65th birthday scientist Beatrice Fine is in her lab working on the wrinkle reducer formula her company is preparing to release to human trials when a former lab assistant, Skip the loser, breaks in with an accomplice, sets explosives and tries to kill her. After the accomplice sets the charges and makes tracks out of there, Skip fails to get the computer files on the research in time and in an attempt to murder Beatrice they both fall into the huge vat of ER-6900. Skip escapes before the blast, but Beatrice is still immersed when the place blows up. Somehow she survives and her current assistant, Zack Ashcroft, hides her so whoever is backing Skip’s theft and attempted murder believes she died in the explosion.  What they can’t begin to fathom is why the dip in the vat followed by the explosion is causing Beatrice to not only look 30 years younger, but changes her body contours from frumpy to va-va-voom. And why on Earth is she having hot flashes of the not-menopausal kind over Zack, a man who was 30 years younger than her. Key word: was. Will the changes stick? Will she go back to the way she was? Will corporate espionage win the day? Will Zack respect her in the morning? Only one way to find out… Full of humorous moments and steamy scenes this romance is different than your typical contemporary. What would you do if you were suddenly 30 yrs younger, looking mighty fine and yet inside your head you’re still 65? Would you live in the moment or would you spend the time worrying about when it will wear off? How would you convince people that you are really you? And what do you do about the people trying to kill you? Attempt to bring them down, of course.  There were a few parts of the book where the pacing was a bit slow, but I would recommend this to anyone who likes a fun steamy romance with a bit of suspense thrown in. *Books source ~ Many thanks to the author for providing me with a review copy. This little romp was the perfect respite from writing holiday cards, wrapping gifts and baking holiday nibbles. No need for a mug of hot chocolate to warm you up this winter when this quick read will do the same without the calories. Imagine(!), a female character who is middle age, witty, smart, AND sexy, and she still gets the guy and then some. Woohoo! Thank you Beth and Letty for reminding me that it gets better after 50!

This book is great fun! Beatrice Fine is living every woman¿s fantasy: she has a job she loves and works with the hunky Zachary Ashcroft. Interesting ramps up to sizzling when an infiltrator explodes her lab with her in it, and her body changes from dumpy to dynamite. I found the interplay between Beatrice and Zack very cute, but have to admit I wanted to read more scenes with the intriguing villain, Edmund Tipton. I do love an interesting bad guy. Lots of twists and turns kept Beatrice (nicknamed Trixie after her transformation, hence the title) and Zack running and this reader interested. I can totally see this book as a movie!

Hats off to authors Beth Henderson and Letty James for a fantasy concept this woman over fifty loved. Just the right concoction of romance and mischief, I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Loving Trixie Fine" and only wish formula ER-6900 were a reality today. Of course, heroine Bea "Trixie" Fine and Zach Ashcroft take chemistry to a whole new level. A fun read!
