I'm not much into cooking but I am interested in lowering cholesterol, so I took a chance on this book. What a pleasant surprise. The recipes are wonderful--how many delicious ways you can fix chicken! Great breakfast ideas. I'm inspired to cook! This book is chock full of information on cholesterol and good and bad fats. The author has done a thorough job, including those ingenious recipes.
This terrific book is a welcoming guide to understanding cholesterol. The writing style is warm and friendly. I felt like a friend was in my kitchen guiding me into the world of healthful eating. In addition to attention to valuable nutritional information there is great care given to the asthetic presentation of food. The author has actually made preparing low-cholesterol meals fun rather than labor intensive. It is now my first choice book for meal planning.
I was told that I needed to lower my cholesterol - only the doctor did not give me much advice. I decided to check out the Dummies books and found the perfect book. I skimmed through Molly Siple's Low-Cholesterol Cookbook for Dummies and just loved the way it was written and how easy and simple the recipes seemed. I bought the book and found that not only are the recipes easy - and the ingredients all in my local market, but my whole family thought they were delicious. I have lost almost 5 lbs since the beginning of the year and that is what I consider a big payoff. In a few weeks I will have my cholesterol numbers checked and I am sure they are going to be lower. I feel so much better already.
