About the Author

USA Today bestselling author Lee Tobin McClain read Gone With The Wind in the third grade and has been an incurable romantic ever since. When she's not writing emotional love stories with happy endings, she’s probably Snapchatting with her college-student daughter, mediating battles between her goofy goldendoodle and her rescue cat, or teaching aspiring writers in Seton Hill University’s MFA program. She is probably not cleaning her house.

Low Country Christmas by Lee Tobin McClain What a wonderful Christmas romance to add to my Christmas reading this year! I truly enjoyed reading this story of Holly and Cash. I excitedly turned page after page as surprising twists and turns made this Christmas romance so intriguing. Left to raise her niece as her own child, Holly sets out to complete her sister’s dying wish to let the father know of his child. Only the journey isn’t as simple as it seems. Holly never plans for her heart to get involved along the way. While this is the third book in the Safe Haven series, it can definitely be read as a stand alone book. I received a copy of this book from the author, but was not required to give a positive review. This is my honest opinion of this book.

LOW COUNTRY CHRISTMAS follows Holly, who has recently become the guardian of her niece, Penny, after her sister's death. Her sister told her who the father was, and in an effort to get the financial support she needs to care for Penny, Holly has tracked him down to Safe Haven. When Holly arrives, she shocks Cash with the news that he has a daughter. Cash has always purposefully stayed away from any type of family life. He fears becoming abusive, like his father was. He still has not come to terms with his mother's reappearance after she was captured, beaten, and had amnesia due to head trauma from his father when he was a teen, landing him and his brothers in foster care. However, he sees what his brothers have and sometimes wishes he could have the same- but he feels that he would be a better uncle than father. As Cash comes to terms with having a daughter and the man he would like to be, Holly also navigates her new life in Safe Haven, building her dog walking business and caring for Penny. They begin to find themselves mutually attracted and both want to fight it. This book is a rather slow read as we slowly build up Holly's trust and Cash comes to terms with his past. What bothered me a bit was how everyone handled the way that Holly does not wish to leave her baby with random strangers. This kept reading to me as odd, because of course she should not entrust her child to others, even if they have XYZ qualification. It seemed a little weird to me that others treated her like she had major issues because of this. The slow pacing will certainly have appeal for some, but I would have liked a faster read from the start. The second half does speed up with some other issues and problems. I would add warnings for domestic violence, kidnapping, and extortion. Overall, I think fans of the series will enjoy this installment. Slow-building and heavily focused on character development, this is a solid women's fiction. Please note that I received a copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

You will enjoy this clean Christmas story by Lee Tobin McClain! Holly is a wonderful independent young lady who loves and cares for her niece, Penny! A paternity test shows Cash is Penny's father! Safe Haven is a community where the residents look out for each other! Cash may be a multimillionaire but he needs to learn that he is not his father. I recommend Low Country Christmas to others. I received a complimentary copy of Low Country Christmas from the author. This is my honest opinion.

Holly has custody of her late sister's daughter, Penny. At her sister's request, Holly heads to Safe Haven where the baby's dad lives part time. Cash is a multi-millionaire playboy who has never wanted to settle down. When Holly tells him the baby is his, he thinks that she is just after money, after all this has happened to him before. However a DNA test proves that Penny is in fact his daughter. The rest of the book we see the co-parenting relationship that develops between Holly and Cash as they deal with the developmental problems that Penny has. Holly has always been on her own, so she has to learn to trust people, Cash has never thought he'd be good at relationships due to the poor example his father set. It was interesting and at times frustrating to see their relationship progress over the course of the book. It was an enjoyable book and I'd read another by this author in the future. #LowCountryChristmas #NetGalley

At first glance Cash O'Dwyer seems to have everything. He has plenty of things and a great relationship with his brothers and their families. That has always been good enough until the day he finds out he has a daughter. That's a game changer he hadn't expected. What will he do now that life has thrown a curve ball? This is a story about figuring out what's important and why. As in the previous novels in the series there's a little romance, a little drama and a warm cozy ending. Although this book can stand along I'm glad I read all three in order because there are a few secondary plot points that continue throughout the series. 3.5 stars rounded up.

Low Country Christmas is the third book in Lee Tobin McClain's Safe Haven series. Because the author put enough background information in the book, this book could be read without having read the other books first. However all the characters are great as is the whole series. I think readers would want to read all the books in order to truly enjoy the series. I received a copy of this book from the author but was not required to review it. My opinion is my own. Cash and Holly as well as Cash's siblings, mother, and the other supporting characters could be actual people. I loved them. The books were hard to put down because I wanted to know what happened next. The author gave so much detail and life to the characters and made the situations so real that you could imagine every scene. Lee Tobin McClain is a gifted author! One warning is that the series could be a trigger for those who experienced domestic violence. I believe it was dealt with care.

Wow oh wow, what a great finish to the O'Dwyer men's story. Very well written with a satisfying love story line. But what a line.....will Cash and Holly be able to overcome themselves to make it work? Highly recommend. I received an advance reader copy from the author. Opinions are my own.

I have thoroughly enjoyed Lee Tobin McLain's Safe Haven series, and Low Country Christmas is my favorite of the series! The characters are well developed and quite interesting. This book includes characters from the previous books in the series as well as new characters. The story provides some interesting insight into how Cash reacts to the complete surprise of a baby that he was unaware that he had fathered, and the challenges of how this surprise works into the family dynamics. I also love the other characters in the community and how they impact the story.

An excellent story about the brother Cash. He finds out that he has a child and he steps up to the plate to help with raising her. All the previous stories tie right into this one. There are some surprises and things that make you rethink the choices that you make in life. Another excellent story by an excellent author.

I have loved this Safe Haven Series. It followed three brothers who were dropped off as kids in this small, quaint town where everyone knows everyone and cares about their neighbors. As they grow up and form relationships, we see them emerge as beloved citizens of the Safe Haven community. Cash O'Dwyer was the third brother to have his story fleshed out. When an unexpected result from a past relationship shows up, he must think about his priorities and make the right decisions. He may even find love on the way. I like how all the loose ends were wrapped up, after following various characters throughout the series. I received a copy of this book from the author but was not required to leave a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I give this book 5 stars for a wonderful story! Lee is an excellent author that can write a good story and can keep her readers engaged from beginning to end. I love that about her. The plot of the story is wonderful too! Christmas is my favorite time of the holiday! I think what I love most about this book is how she can bring a character to Safe Haven out of the blue. Holly is an interesting person. I just fell in love with her at the beginning of the story. Her strong, bubbly, personality is a wonderful trait to have while Natalie is the quiet, reserved type that wants to be cautious. Rita has an interesting background as well. We know Holly came to Safe Haven for a reason but I won't say cause I don't want to give it away! Chase is pretty good too. If he were a real person he can be my protector at all times as far as I'm concerned. He continued to impress me throughout the whole book. Chase has become my favorite of the 3 brothers. I really recommend this book. Christmas can't come fast enough lol! Lee once again thank you for a wonderful book and I hope that you will write another book about this sweet town called Safe Haven My thanks to Netgalley. NO compensations were received. All opinions are my own.

This book was such a sweet read, I enjoyed it so much. This was the first book that I read in the Low Country series and it certainly will not be my last. I am ready to dive into the first two books now. This is a sweet and clean book-perfect.

McClain has written a beautiful Christmas love story about Holly Gibson searching for the father of her young niece left in her care after her sister’s death. She never expected to meet Cash, her niece’s father, or to find him so perfect for her. Cash is shocked to find he has a young daughter, Penny, and even more shocked to find her Aunt so appealing. Will scars from the past ruin their chance at happiness? One thing is for sure, the town of Safe Haven is the perfect setting with a perfectly relatable cast for Holly, Penny and Cash all to find happiness. I received this ARC copy of Low Country Christmas from HARLEQUIN - Romance (U.S. & Canada) - HQN. This is my honest and voluntary review.

If you want a book that will keep you entertained from start to finish and leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling, then Low Country Christmas by Lee Tobin McClain is the book for you. It’s book three in her Safe Haven series and tells the story of the final O’Dwyer brother, Cash. I haven’t read the previous books in the series, Low Country Hero and Low Country Dreams, but I plan to rectify that mistake. Big city girl, Holly Gibson, travels to the small town of Safe Haven in search of her one-year-old niece’s father, Cash O’Dwyer. Holly is totally overwhelmed by the welcome and attention that she and little Penny receive from Cash and his family and most of the residents of the town. Now things are really complicated because she never expected to fall for Penny’s father. Cash O’Dwyer is surprised to find that he really is the father of Holly’s niece, Penny. He’s a man of means, so women have tried to con him in the past. He had a complicated upbringing so he’s not sure if he’ll be a good father. Now he’s made a complicated situation worse by falling for Penny’s aunt. Though this is the first book I’ve read in the Safe Haven series, I have read several of Ms. McClain’s other books and expected a great reading experience, and she did not disappoint me here. The characters are well-developed and with few exceptions, these are people you want to know. The plot and pace are engaging. The small town of Safe Haven is the perfect backdrop for the overall effect. The fact that the story takes place during the Christmas season only adds to the joy and peace invoked in the reader. This is a 5 star read and I recommend it to all readers of romance. My thanks to the author for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.

I received this ARC from NetGalley and Harlequin-Romance in exchange for my fair and honest review. I love Christmas stories anytime of the year. This was my first book from this author and found it to be very enjoyable. I love books that take place in small towns where everyone works together, and are always helping others out. The chemistry between Holly and Cash, was very good. I really enjoyed watching the characters grow as more of their past become evident. I would certainly recommend this book to others.

I loved this last book in the series. I was hooked from the beginning and liked Cash and Holly and their story. I loved when Cash was able to finally face his demons from the past and work past them. The author did a wonderful job wrapping up the series and tying up all the loose ends. I would recommend this book. I received a copy of this book from the author and was not required to write a positive review.

Low Country Christmas by Lee Tobin McClain Cash the millionaire finally gets his story! The most charming O’Dwyer brother of all… Everyone loves Cash O’Dwyer. He’s wealthy, generous, and confident… EXCEPT about his ability to form close relationships. Outside of family, he doesn’t do it, period. Cash comes home to Safe Haven for a brief visit, but when a beautiful woman shows up with a child she says is his, he has no choice but to stay. He doesn’t expect to fall in love. But in the low country at Christmas, anything can happen… Come home to Safe Haven, where the best Christmas surprises aren’t the ones under the tree. Holly Gibson has one wish this Christmas season: to find her young niece’s father. And she’s traveled hundreds of miles to the small town of Safe Haven to make that wish come true. But the mysterious Cash O’Dwyer is nothing like she expected. Strong and kind, he makes her heart beat faster. And suddenly that little secret she’s keeping about her sister stirs up all kinds of guilt… Cash is stunned—and more than a little wary to discover he’s a father. Having a family of his own was never part of his plan…until sweet baby Penny and her fiercely independent aunt Holly arrive in town. Now he’s trimming trees and stuffing stockings for three. But when the ghosts of Cash’s past threaten the future of his fragile new family, he’ll do whatever it takes to be the father Penny needs—and the man Holly deserves—for more than just the holidays. This is Holly Gibson and Cash O’Dwyer's story. A spark of anxiety climbed up his spine. He didn’t like it. “Is it an emergency? What’s your connection to me?” Her eyebrow lifted just enough that he realized he sounded abrupt. Which was too bad, but that was how he was. Driven, impatient, materialistic. Not as bad as his father had been—at least Cash wasn’t violent about it. But still. The old man must have known what he was doing, giving him the name Cash. It was why he didn’t have a wife and kids, the way his brothers did. “It’s...a long story,” she said. There was anxiety in her voice. “Is there somewhere we could talk?” ON A MID-NOVEMBER EVENING, Cash O’Dwyer locked the door of his luxury condo and trotted down the steps, holding his phone to his ear to listen to the third message from his CFO in Atlanta. “Urgent that you return this—” “Watch it!” The feminine voice was accompanied by a baby’s cry. Cash stopped with one foot halfway down to the next step and squinted at the woman, who’d pressed herself flat against the railing on the landing, baby cradled protectively in her arms. He lifted a hand, palm out. “Sorry, sorry, ma’am, wasn’t watching where I was going.” He continued past them as he listened to the rest of his message. And then, as he processed what he’d seen, he clicked off his phone and turned back, shifting his focus from Atlanta and business deals to a very pretty young mother practically on his doorstep here in Safe Haven, South Carolina. I highly recommend reading.
