When is the next book??  Wow!  This was sooo good!  It was very hard for me to put this book down once I started it. The story was well written to the point I cried at times.  I could feel the pain and angst the main character, Ana, was going through.  Ana doesn’t reveal what happened in her past right away but there were enough hints that I was heartbroken for her. I was rooting for Ana through the whole book and it was a complete rollercoaster for her (as well as for me!!).   I don’t want to give anything away as to what happened with Ana but there is a huge cliffhanger at the end of the book. It was one of those that sucked the air out of my lungs because I couldn’t believe what just happened.  It was one of those endings that I had to sit back and give myself some time to digest and figure out what I will read next.  Book 2 isn’t currently out or it would be a no brainer what my next book was.

A Tension Filled & Emotive Read!! Savannah 'Ana' Parry survived a tragedy 16 months ago, barely!! She's moved to the other side of the Country to go attend College, 'Chastity Falls Academy' or CFA. It's a smaller campus but she feels she can lose herself there easily enough & try to begin to live again!! Jackson is in some of Ana's English classes. He's sexy, gorgeous & interested in her but he has masses of secrets!! Ana is hiding her own past, her brokenness, from him & her roommate Elena. But things will all come to a head eventually, especially as CFA Royalty has taken an interest in her & that is NOT a good thing!! This is an emotional & thought provoking read. Ana's struggles, especially with grief & depression, are written so well. I'm looking forward to carrying on with the rest of the series to see what becomes of our broken heroine & hero(?) I want to start by saying....this is a cliffhanger people! There are 3 books in Jackson and Ana's story so go into it knowing it is a cliffhanger. I don't typically read a lot of young adult books, but this book one drew me in and I read it and half of book 2 in one day. I am so drawn to the story and the characters. Both Ana and Jackson have been through so much and even though they are soulmates, that may not be enough to keep them together. Jackson is involved with his "family" that raised him after his father's death. They are a mob-like family in the small town of Chastity Falls. He is a yes man and loyal to a fault to the family. He loves Ana enough to put her first and push her away to keep her out of the crosshairs of what is going down. Ana moved to Chastity Falls to start her life over. She has suffered awful loss and struggles to move on. She has just been existing. Until she meets Jackson. He breaths life back into her. Will she be able to watch him walk away? This book had such a great story it just drew me in. The Fallen, which is the football team at the college, is a group of guys who rule the school and put the fear of God into anyone that looks at them wrong. They are led by Braidon and Jackson is his number 2 guy. It intrigues me to see what they will do next. Jackson is a good guy, but involved in all of the wrong stuff. At times, I wanted to throw the book down and tell him to walk away and get Ana out of that town! He knowingly hurt her to keep her safe and that bothered me. I wanted Ana to stick up for herself, too. She has been through so much, she doesn't need this on top of it. As the story unfolds though, I am fascinated and can't wait to see what twists and turns the second book takes. Also Elena, who is Ana's roommate is a stellar secondary character. Everyone should have a friend like her in their corner. Can't wait to see what happens next!

This is a normal American college with normal students each have secrets hiding something and lord the drama will make you glad you are out of school. Warning this is a cliffhanger and part 2 isn’t on audio. I thought the ending was good and didn’t mind the cliffhanger as much as I normal do. There are so many twists and turns your head will spin along with heartbreak and misunderstandings. Ms. Lysy does a great job with narration she has a pleasant voice with wonderful character voices. There are not any background noises or any places where the volume changes high or low. She shows each characters emotion never leaving you guessing what they are thinking or feeling. Here many different voices are wonderful as she paints the picture in your mind. You have no trouble knowing who is talking male or female it is a smooth audio that gives you hours of enjoyment. If any breaks were taken you could not tell. I am looking forward to listening to more from this narrator. The author gives you a great plot with lots of drama of who, what and where. It has a nice ending for a cliffhanger. The characters are likeable even through the pain it is hard not to like them. My heart really went out to Ana she is carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders of things that can’t be undone. What she really would like to have is a redo button. Her life is filled with the past trying to get over the biggest heartbreak of all. Jackson is a sweetheart but he is in a mess of trouble with what he is hiding. He is all over the place with his emotions and confusing ways. He finds out things are not always as they seem and it might put brother against brother before it is all done. The supporting characters some you will love and others you won’t. The twist are big and you won’t see them coming as you are pulled one way and then another.

Loyalty and Lies is shrouded in mystery and secrets. Wanting a fresh start away from a painful past, Savannah (Ana) moves across the country to Oregon for college. Unbeknownst to her, she escaped right into a tangled nest of mystery and intrigue that would draw her in. She meets Jackson in a couple of her classes and they begin a sweet courtship of sorts. Yet it all falls apart when secrets begin unraveling. I won’t go into details. I don’t want to spoil the story for anyone but let me just say it was heartbreaking. Now before I go any further, I do want to mention it is a cliffhanger. But books one through three are out. I enjoyed the book; I found it well-written with complex characters. Ana’s story is so completely heartbreaking and I found myself on the edge of my seat watching her heal and just praying that Jackson wouldn’t screw up. Then drama ensues and I just want to reach through my tablet and hug her. My heart also hurt for Jackson and the choices that he had to make. Now if you’re looking for super-hot sexy times, this isn’t the book for you. It’s more about the angst then smut. There are some sex scenes, but they aren’t super graphic. I appreciated that, I don’t think all NA books need to be about graphic sex. The side characters add an interesting cast of characters to the book. I loved Elena, Ana’s roommate. She’s a hilarious Latina who tries her hardest to draw Ana out and back her up. Now I have what’ll be an unpopular opinion, I almost feel sorry for Briony. I think she’s been spoiled by her dad and brother all her life and it’s probably ruined her. I wonder if she got out from under their thumbs if she couldn’t be redeemed. Braiden, however, is nonredeemable. I wanted to smack the crap out of him but even through the pages I was scared of him. Ugh, this book….it’s just ugh. It’s intense. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series to see what happens.

Wow this book is something else. I wasn’t sure what all to expect when I started reading but this book is amazing. This book is an emotional rollercoaster. Ana Perry was supposed to be starting over at Chastity Falls. She has been barely living the last 19 months. She needed to move on with her life. She just wanted to blend into the background and go to school. She picked Chastity Falls because it was the so far from when she was from. There wasn’t anything there for her anymore. Ana knows she will eventually have to talk to someone else about what happened to her but she isn’t ready just yet. Jackson has his own secrets; family loyalty. Jackson knew from the moment he saw Ana that he wanted to get to know her. Then when he did he couldn’t stay away. He knew there would be trouble. But, didn’t he deserve to be happy as well. This book is full of danger, secrets, lies, and so much more. My heart was pounding during certain parts. Both Ana and Jackson have their own secrets but, they also have a powerful connection. They can’t seem to stay away from each other despite what could happen if anyone found out about them. This book has me hooked and I can’t wait to find out what happens in this next book. Sometimes for love you have suffer. Sometimes we don’t get what we want. All the characters in this book are fantastic. I can’t say enough about this book but I don’t want to spoil it for you so I will stop. Just know you must read this book. I was given this book in return for an honest review.

Loyalty and Lies is about a girl named Savannah (Ana). She has moved to Chastity Falls to escape the memories of her past. When she moves into her dorm, she becomes instant friends with her roommate and then quickly finds the other piece of her soul in Jackson. He has some secrets of his own which causes the relationship to become strained. Jackson is a Fallen which means that he is on the football team for Chastity Falls; however, his so-called family owns the entire town. Getting out of business to be with Savannah (Ana) may not be optional considering that the Donohue’s are willing to take down anyone who threatens their happy little town or turns their back on “family”. When I first started to read this story, I was a little surprised at how depressing Savannah’s character was. I wasn’t sure exactly what I was getting myself into by reading this book but I soon realized that I couldn’t stop. Her life and her scars were so captivating by the simple fact that the author wanted you to feel sympathy for her character. She wanted the reader to understand that this character had ultimately lost everything and was trying to cling onto any sign of life that would take away the numbness that she felt. Jackson was the gentle, playful, and loving man that had made her feel whole again piece by piece. I recommend this to my female club members because it is told from Savannah’s point of view. The author writes an incredible story that left me wanting to read the second of the series. I will be thrilled to read more into the lives of Jackson and Savannah’s relationship even though my emotions were on high toward the end. I found that I sympathized with Jackson a little more than I did with Savannah because of character placement. I give this book a five star rating because I really enjoyed being swirled up into this new world that the author created for her readers.

" But with that kind of solace came the memories. Like an unstoppable river they rushed into my mind, dragging me under with their strong current. Some comforted me, some terrified me...but every single one of them made my heart shatter" Loyalty and Lies follows the story of Savannah and Jackson. Things have become too much for Savannah. She needs a fresh start, a chance to escape her past. So, Savannah decides to go to school three thousand miles away.  Chasity Falls is supposed to be her salvation. She hasn't smiled in so long. That all changes when she meets Jackson. Jackson brings out a side in Savannah that she thought was long gone. She finally has hope that she can heal and move on. Savannah isn't the only one who has secrets. Soon Savannah will find herself caught up in a mass of lies, fighting for her survival once more. What will happen when loyalties are tested? I thought Loyalty and Lies was a fantastic read. I was pulled in from the very beginning. I was so intrigued by this story. I couldn't put it down! I wanted to know more about the characters. They were so easy for me to connect with. I loved watching them grow and heal one another. You could tell that Savannah and Jackson truly cared for each other and that they were desperately trying to not let their pasts catch up with them. The quote"Loyalties will be tested and lies will be told", pretty much says it all. Loyalty and Lies had me asking so many questions and wondering what was going to happen next. I was on the edge of my seat, freaking out and falling in love all the same time. The end......Oh, man! What a cliffhanger! I can't wait to get my hands on the next book!! *I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
