Carol, a small town girl, can't wait to get out of Shamrock, Texas and all the memories there. When Pete, a big city lawyer, comes to town could he change her mind about small town living? Carol can't understand why anyone would want to live in a small town, yet could Pete really be ready to leave the city? This is a fast paced novella. I was given a copy of this book from the author for my honest opinion.

THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME This story is full of various emotions, loneliness, sorrow, despair and also finding peace, joy and love.  Just when Carol was making plans to escape Shamrock, Texas, God send Pete Bowler. Life has been hard for Carol and she is just getting by.  In the struggles, she abandons God and church. Pete is seeking a smaller town, one where people know each other and act like they care.  There are no accidents with God.  Pete came to Shamrock Texas at the perfect time and gave new hope to Carol. This story is simplistic but the message is powerful.  Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.  Disclosure: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.  All thoughts, opinions and ratings are my own.

This is the first time I’ve heard of Shamrock, Texas. I was intrigued with the celebrations they have every St. Patrick’s Day. This is an adorable short story about a young woman who finally realizes that her small town is really a special place to live. As Carol shows Pete around Shamrock on St. Patrick’s Day, she notices things she never really paid attention to before such as the beautiful sunset. Before she knows what is happening, Carol finds herself falling in love for the first time in her life. This is a sweet love story and it was fun to read. –Review by Linda Weaver Clarke, Author of Sweet Romances

Carol feels stuck in the small town of Shamrock, Texas. She dreams of moving to exciting places leaving behind  a job at the U Drop Inn in a town where nothing exciting ever happens. Until a handsome stranger comes in to celebrate the St. Patrick's Day Festival. A quick  fun read.
