About the Author

June A. Reynolds is an Oregonian and a "Sherwoodian." She is a graduate of Sherwood High and the University of Oregon and went on to be a teacher and librarian in Oregon. This series of books outlines the character of Lyle Kent and his experience of living in Oregon after leaving Arizona. The contrasts of two places are not lost on Lyle and he ends up fitting in fairly well in the Pacific Northwest. However, there is much gossip taken for truth that gives Lyle much grief. He somehow survives by much support. knowing himself, and trying to be kind to others.
