About the Author

Although he'd rather be traveling, Donovan Hervig spends most of his weekdays managing a small, boutique U.S. based travel agency which organizes trips to Latin America – Ideal South America. It was a long road for him – from Tennessee, to Northern Virginia, to London, Spain and New York – before he made it to Peru and then Ecuador ... living the expat "dream". After years of living in and planning trips around South America for other travelers, now settled back in the north, he decided it was finally time to share his expertise and experience with a wider audience. This travel guide book, his first, and the first in the Secrets of South America: Combo Trips series, is the result. Typically tethered to his office chair, he can't wait to escape and enjoy research in the field again – on a family vacation with his son Osian or with others on a city, culture, nature or landscape adventure.
