This is by far their best cd yet!! My absolute favorites are the songs Angry, Rest Stop, Bent, Bed Of Lies, Last Beautiful Girl, and You Won't Be Mine. All the other songs are also very good. I recommend this cd to any Matchbox 20 fan. This is a ''must have'' cd!!

This is currently the prized possession in my cd collection. Although it is fairly easy to judge Matchbox Twenty by the enourmous amount of airplay and mainstream exposure, they are not your typical mainstream band with a couple of catchy radio tunes. The main attraction I have to this album and all of their material is the pure emotion of the songs. Yes, all of the songs are pretty much darker, rockier, deeper.... they're not exactly a party band, and the cd is not going to give you a nice warm fuzzy feeling. This is a very emotion filled cd, and with the main force of Rob Thomas's vocals, any listener will connect. They took a few more chances then their first cd and used more insturments; intern each song definetly has it's own character. It's tough to choose favorites, but I would say ''Crutch'' is my favorite energy induced song, ''Rest Stop'' is my favorite ''ballad'', and ''You Won't Be Mine'' is just in it's own category..... it's very elegant and mysterious, and one of the best performances at their concerts. Anyone who values emotion in lyrics will enjoy this album.

This CD is terrific. I can't stop listening to it. I think my family's getting sick of it. But who cares? This is a sweet CD. It has rock to soft and slow tunes. It has everything. This is just a CD for good clean fun. I would recommend it to anybody.

Rob Thomas and company do not dissappoint in this follow-up to their previous title You or Someone Like You. Musical fascination goes on a mystical wonder ride from smooth eighties inspired fare to the love/hate lyrical poetry their best known for. This CD is a highly enjoyable easy moving collection of hit makers disguised as regular tracks.

This latest Album is a sure bet that you'll love it better than the first. Rob Thomas and the gang have reached everyone's high expections and made it to the top. This one is definately on my top ten list.

Well, they have done it again. I really loved the first album, and I'm REALLY liking this one. If you love Rob's voice as much as I do, then you have to get this one!!

This is the greatest CD I ever bought, and the only one I can honestly say that I loved all of the tracks on. I instantly became a Matchbox Twenty fan.

The first time I bought the CD (I loved the first one) I had read a negative review in a magazine and was a little skeptical. But, once I heard the first song, i knew the review was wrong. The entire CD has one amazing song after the next. Even when they play songs a thousand times on the radio, i can go home and listen to it again and again. If you remember when Rob Thomas (lead singer) sang with Santana, the song Smooth hit high on the charts. Its all in Rob's voice. I love the CD and would recommend it to anyone!!

For those of you who like to rock: don't get this album. For those of you who like to chill: get this album. Though ''Yourself or Someone Like You'' was a straight out rock album, ''Mad Season'' settles on MB20's softer side. The songs are heavily engineered, and this brings a weakness to some songs. ''Rest Stop'' went from a grade-A song (when heard live) to a grade-C version on the album. ''Mad Season,'' (the song, not the album itself) though one of the rockers on this album, is littered by too many layers. Rob and Marisol obviously did not have the ''made-for-a-Lifetime-wedding-special''relationship that has been portrayed: according to Rob, a lot of the songs were influenced by their relationship. Enough bashing; the album does have many highlights, including ''Bent,'' ''Crutch,'' ''Angry,'' and the James Bondish anthum ''You Won't Be Mine.'' And remember: just because its different doesn't mean its worse.

This cd is wonderful. It will satisfy anyone's tastes. I am a huge matchbox twenty fan and I have to say that they just keep getting better and better! Rob Thomas' lyrics are beautiful and inspirational and the band is perfect along with him. I love the songs 'Bed Of Lies', 'Stop', and 'Crutch'.

Great, wonderful, awesome, Thomas with his angst filled rebellion makes me slip this CD in over and over, I like it and so does my 11 year old & that is a rare occurance! A++++

I enjoy their original music, their fun lyrics and the way they work together as a team. This group has an incredible sound, espesially the ''classical'' bit at the very end of the cd.

I love this album! It is as good as the first album. Last Beautiful Girl and If Your Gone are the best tracks. Just buy this album you will not be sorry. I already pre-ordered 25 copies for my friends.

I was so afraid this wouldn't live up to their first album but it totally exceeded my expectations. The lyrics are wonderful and Rob's voice is amazing. Anyone who buys this album will not be disappointed.

Rob Thomas and crew are the best. Their first album is the only album i have on which i love every song. I have only heard 'Bent' so far but that is all i need to hear to know its going to be another winner.

Though I have only heard the song 'Bent', I can already tell this will be one of their best releases. I may be married but ROB Thomas has to has to be the hottest looking singer I have seen in years (and he has that exquisite voice that just puts me in a trance!!!)

Matchbox Twenty is my favorite groups. I can't wait for this new tape to come outs. They are totally mint deluxe. They discuss important issues, like recycling. I enjoy wearing sandals while listening to their music.

I bought this c.d on may 30 2000, its now aug. 21, 01 and i'm still listening to it. I own 64 c.d's and this is the best out of all of them. i think that they are the best band to come out after 1995. This album is just incredible, w/songs like, rest stop, how its gonna be and bent, Rob thomas shows that he is the most talented lead man out there right now. he rights incredible lyrics and great music, simply put he's the man and this album kicks a**.

After listening to newest CD 'Mad Season' , I can say the Matchbox Twenty will be around for quite a while. The lyrics of the songs are something that everyone can relate to sometime in their life no matter what your age maybe. Rob Thomas has done an excellant job on writing and co-writting the lyrics on the album. Not only did he write and perform the song 'Smooth' with Santana, but the man is smooth himself. Rob stated recently in an article with USA Today that he is able to be more in touch with his sensitive side then most of his Male friends, these lyrics prove just that by showing that love hurts and Rob's not afraid to show his emotions in his songs.

Their music never changed from their last album...It got even better!!! This is a cool album not monotonous and never tiring to hear. Check out the title track 'Mad Seasons' and 'Crutch.'

The first Matchbox 20 CD was awesome. This one, of course shows improvement and growth, but only in some songs. A couple songs on this album seem a little uncreative and boring. Some even sound like each other. Otherwise, there are like 5 songs on this CD that are great, ALMOST making up for the unimaginative ones.
