This is the best book ever! It has a good setting and I like the setting and plot! I 100% recommend this book to people who like mystery!
Read from April 30 to May 04, 2012 I won this from the Goodreads First Reads Giveaway. I really felt a little bad for winning this when it was meant for an audience 20 years younger than I am. I am so glad I did though! This was a fantastic book. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The characters were interesting, the dialogue was believable and well done. The pacing was good. I would recommend this book to anyone with kids who love to read, and any adults who still enjoy reading a good book regardless of target audience. I was very impressed that this book wasn't dumbed down the way some books in this age range are. The author managed to insert a large amount of vocabulary and meanings as part of the story and I liked that.
I am a teacher, a mama, & a granny. I read a chapter of this book each night to my son's family. We all grew to love Lexi, Kevin, Kim Ling & even Aunt Roz. We'd love to someday visit New York & go on a little Madhattan Mystery tour. Growing up isn't easy & John Bonk mixes it all in with an exciting jewel heist. The adventure is fun, funny & spellbinding. (I must admit the cliffhanger chapters had us read an extra chapter or two a couple of nights.) I highly recommend you read this book, and when you're done... meet you in New York!
