Deeply researched, but easy to read.  Sheds new light on the history of the US as it was being formed.  Clarifies the politics and personalities that shaped this great country.

When this was offered on Book Bub. I decided that I needed to read some non fiction, as my reading diet is usually mystery and thriller books. I learned some facts that I hadn't known before. I have probably read more about Jefferson than Madison. Actually, I was disappointed that more was not mentioned about Sally Hemings, the black slave with whom Jefferson had at least on child. Madison came across as quite an interesting man, who didn't marry until after age 30--then wedding Dolley, the colorful widow. Other than the fact that this is a long book, a book group might enjoy this one.

Don't understand why everyone is using this reviewing forum to complain about the price...just write about the book, who wants to hear you all whine and complain about the price! Go to the library then!

Why is the hardback version of this book less expensive than the ebook??? I just purchased a Nook to save on the cost of buying books. At this rate, I should return my Nook and just buy a hardcopy of this book. Please explain why??????

Heck, the Kindle version is ten bucks cheaper. I was also considering the nookbook version of "Winston's War" by Max Hastings but I see that it's also similarly overpriced. I'm starting to wonder if my nook purchase was a good move...

I'll agree with previous reviewers -- this ebook is far to expensive. I would very much like to read it, but at this rate I will wait for a copy at the library or in paperback. Very disappointing. :(

28.00 for an "e-book?" Why is the price so high? I thought e-books were supposed to cost less than the hardback book. At these prices, you may as well get the hardcover and pitch your nook into the dumpster! I bought my Nook to be able to save money on books, not to spend more or just as much. This is ridiculous and it is beginning to seem that more and more books are coming out at just under the 20.00 mark. I believe they are taking advantage of people who use Nook and e-readers in general. We are being tested to see whether we will accept buying e-books at the cost of a regular book. Don't fall or give in to their game.

this looks like a great book about two of the founding Fathers but the price $28.00. The kindle is offering the same book for $18.42. Could the $28.00 price tag be a mistake!!!!!!! Again it is the price not the BOOK !!!!!!
