Magic Elizabeth by Norma Kassirer

The other side of the mirror...

It looks like it's going to be a bad summer for Sally: She's got to stay with her creepy Aunt Sarah while her parents are away. Trapped in a spooky old house and stalked by an unfriendly cat, Sally begins to explore. She sneaks upstairs and discovers the attic, where she finds herself drawn toward an old mirror. When she looks into it something magical happens...

Sally finds herself in the past on the other side of the mirror where another little girl—also names Sally—has lot a beloved doll, Elizabeth. Sally searches and searches, but the doll seems to have vanished. Can the two help each other across time?

I remember the first time I read this book 40 years ago! It is still a magical favorite and now put it in the hands of other young readers.

This was my favorite book as a child. I read it over and over. Of course, I to had a doll named Elizabeth that I was determined was magical. She still sits on my bed at age 21.

My sister picked up Magic Elizabeth at a library book store when we were both still in elementary school. I can't tell you how many times I read it as a child. I'm studying to be a teacher and am delighted to have found this book still in print. I look forward to sharing it with my future students!

My mother read this book and recommended me to read it. It was a great book and I wish some books were more like it. This book is a great book to read and I think everyone should share this book with their children.
