With it's cringe-inducing cover art and horrible description, I took this recommendation from a friend with a grain of salt. To my surprise, I actually quite enjoyed it, and devoured the whole thing in one (up way too late) sitting. The heroine is excellent- smart, strong, and capable of taking care of herself, yet she realistically exists within the confines of her time. While her plot is more than a bit pedantic, and altogether too predictable, her characters and their relationships are outstanding. Even her supporting cast shines through. Frankly, I enjoyed the characters so much (especially her already married older sisters and their husbands) that I went ahead and tracked down the rest of the series, just to get more of them. Recommended for a fun romp, just don't take it too seriously.
This is the first book i have read by Ms. Anton. It is about 400 pages because the page numbers do not change each time. The male is strong and proctective. The story is adventurous and kept me on edge. The romance was great. The only disappointment for me was that I would like to have been given more information on their future.
Very hard to put down. Enjoyed the building of the relationship of the leads. Nicole is very likable and the hero a very kind and strong man. Even though i wasn't quite convinced that he was a superman, which might have been i liked him so much. Was sorry i missed the first two books in the series, i want to go back and read them now.
I. . . . LOVED this book. Wish her other books were bargain rates but I did enjoy this one. A princess from King Arthur's lineage was stored away at a nunnery until she was of age. Her Uncle sends his bard to retrieve her and their adventure begins trying to exit England and into Wales. I enjoyed the book and read the last 80 pgs in one morning to find the ending.
