About the Author

Kim is a bisexual submissive from Wales (UK). First published in 2008, she has since released over 100 BDSM erotic romance titles ranging from short stories to full length novels. Having worked with a host of fantastic e-publishers, she moved into self publishing in 2013.

While she occasionally enjoys writing other pairings, most of Kim's stories focus on Male/Male relationships. But, no matter what the pairing, from paranormal to contemporary, and from the sweet to the intense, everything she writes will always feature three things - Kink, Love and a Happy Ending.

Bought it because it was in the same universe as 'Duck!'; loved the fairy tale feel of that one. This one was not written that way. 'Magpie' did not draw me in the way the other book did- I felt the characters were somewhat distant- not unlikeable, exactly, I just never felt emotionally invested. This story expanded the avian shifter universe, and I found those details overshadowed the relationship aspect of the story. She's doing an excellent job of world-building. I couldn't imagine bird shifters as sexy before this. I have purchased many of this author's books and short stories and like her writing style, and will likely purchase the next book in the series.

Sweet story - but deals with the gritty parts of life. Definate growth in the MCs.

Liked it.

I enjoyed this book. The author shows a whole different type of D/s relationship than the first in the series, Duck! The characters are not quite as lovable as in the first story but they are so very well written I couldn't resist getting caught up in their story just as much. They have such a tough time with addiction and prejudice that it was impossible not to get emotionally involved and root for them through the whole book. I highly recommend it and hope there will be more to the series.
