I don't think the author was completely forthcoming. She was a bit incoherent in the middle of the book; which just seemed to drag on as if she ran out of subject matter. It was apparent she may have been trying to avoid offering full text, fearing she might lose new patients. It was okay; but I can't really say it made a lot of sense. It was more psycho-babble than butter. The reader will find themselves confused before they reach the end of the book. I feel the money was wasted. The advice offered was off the mark and a little silly. You can't revisit dead parents. Much of her reference to revisiting parents was written as if everyone's parents are still alive.

This book is not about hype or tricks like some are. Tgis is about real work to make your love work and put all of the puzzle pieces together. I'm very pleased with my purchase. In fact, I like the presentation so much I purchased a hard copy as well to highlight and give to my significant other.

This book definitely gives good insight. It's a 50/50 chance if it works for you, but i'd definitely give it a look over if you and your significant other are having issues.

Dr. Weils book is unbelievable! I am a pursuer and my spouse is a distancer, and believe me when I say this book has made a big difference in how we will repair our differences since our separation. My wife, who moved out two months ago (shake up to wake up!)says she already has seen a big change in my demeanor, and she can't wait to read the book. I wish I could purchase one of these books for everyone about to get married and everyone who is dating. We could cut divorce in half!! Thank You Dr. Bonnie! You have made it easier to put the pieces together, truly, for the first time.

I have read them all--John Gray, whom i like tremendously and many other, too countless to list--This book is excellent because it describes distancers and pursuers and takes a new approach in handling the problems and making relationships work. It is very easy for many other authors to counsel leaving a relationship--it is much more difficult to offer potential solutions and excellent skills to give it the best chance you can. I highly recommend this read. I am a woman lawyer and disagree completely with the new york review---feminism should never dictate something which does not feel natural. These methods make sense and feel natural. I've tried them and they work. Men are not the enemy--we must find a method that works to improve relations between the sexes. I wish I could find this book in French
