About the Author

Cheryl Bentley has been an avid reader ever since she was a child. She says "I have an over-active imagination and like to write stories for children." Matthew Booth is the author of Sherlock Holmes and the Giant’s Hand and When Anthony Rathe Investigates. Tom Brown won the Almond Press Short Story Competition for ‘Broken Worlds’ in 2014. In the same year, his first novel, Lynnwood, was a finalist for The People’s Book Prize . Brian Conaghan is a Scot living in Ireland, who was winner of the Costa Book Prize. David Stuart Davies is the author of many Sherlock Holmes stories and a prolific crime and detective writer. Nikki Dudley is managing editor of streetcake magazine and also runs the streetcake writing prize and MumWrite. She won the Virginia Prize 2020 for her second novel, Volta. Luke Hollands produces documentaries of wildlife films. David Kauders is an investment manager. Linda Lo Scuro lives in London; The Sicilian Woman's Daughter is her first novel. Amanda Sington-Williams has lived in Japan, Spain, Australia, and now lives in Brighton, England. She has written many short stories.
