About the Author

The author: Ernie Richards was born in Liverpool and went to the Liverpool Institute High School.
He read English at Cambridge University and for many years was
Head of the Arts Department at I M Marsh College in Liverpool.
He was recently Principal of Urchfont Manor College in Wiltshire.
