Like many, this was the very first book that I bought, and was the foundation of my self-instruction. Cindy gives the reader step by step instructions for basic beadmaking, and a few intermediate techniques. With a great gallery of pieces made by the pioneers of the contemporary lampworking 'movement', this book is essential for those starting out in this addictive craft of lampworking.

This was the first book I picked up when looking for more info on making glass beads, and I haven't found a better one yet. This book is loaded with color pictures of completed beads and the processes to get there. The expanations are simple and precise, with enough detail for you complete any one of the projects. I have gotten some great ideas and learned alot. This book also gives a small amount of the history of beads and where they came from.
