Overview

Come on board! Join Paul Barrington aboard the SS CHUSAN on it's inaugural world cruise to exotic Polynesia and the Far East. It also happens to be the first voyage for our handsome virile hero who had just completed service in the R.A.F. when he received the invitation to join the newest cruise ship due to set sail from London immediately. His dream had come true! With equal parts lust and wanderlust and seeing himself as a latter day Marco Polo armed not with a sword perhaps but creative energy he embarks on an odyssey to exotic ports around the world. His adventures included assisting in the fate of a misguided stowaway prostitute, a close shave with one of the Kings Coldstream Guards, a bloody struggle with a 14' shark and a disastrous tidal wave. Fearful moments when face to face with an enraged armed Maharaja's aide and a scary kidnapping attempt in North Africa. Then, of course, were the many lonely widows aboard who were oh, so willing. Several adventures happened ashore included an encounter with Maori natives and some awkward moments in a Japanese bath house when it wasn't just Paul's temperature that was rising. Paul eventually breaks the cardinal rule and falls for beautiful fellow crew member, Joanna Carroll, which leads to severe complications as they conduct a torrid clandestine affair.
