01. MAMA The "debut" song by EXO is very epic-sounding with lots of strings and chanting. Gregorian music definitely influenced this track composed by Yoo Young-Jin. The singing's great (Chen's high notes are love), but there was a real lack of Tao in the song. The screaming was actual pretty good (much more preferable to the K screaming). Its a good song, even with the glaring grammar mistake in the opening lines. "No one, who care about me?" 02. What Is Love The first of two ballads on the album this track is said to be composed four people, but one listen is enough to know that the real composer behind 'What Is Love' is Yoo Young Jin. The song repeats the same 5 chords throughout the entire song and its a song that grows on you. This song is sung by Chen and Lu Han and they sing wonderfully. The only problem is that Chen is the powerhouse of EXO-M and his singing is hindered by his discomfort and unfamiliarity with the language, so it takes his singing down a notch. (Currently his Chinese has improved and his singing in Chinese had improved as well :D after the recording of this EP ;_;) 03. History Composed by Thomas Troelsen (foreign composer for SM who has composed some of my favorite songs), Remee Mikkel Sigvardt Jackman and Yoo Young-jin (favorite Korean composer) 'History' is a clean-cut pop song that is (of course) super catchy complete with bad catchy english. Good high energy song. 04. Your World Along with 'My Lady', 'Baby Don't Cry', and 'Two Moons', 'Your World' was one of the most anticipated EXO tracks. Chinese really fits this track and the singing is just awesome. My favorite ballad off the EP, it has a soft, quiet tone to it. One of the best tracks off the EP. 05. Two Moons (feat. Key (of SHINee)) Another one of the more anticipated tracks comes short. The problem with 'Two Moons' is that it should have been faster paced or more rapping or better lyrics. Any one of those would have made this song better. The rapping's great though (all around) and the song really picks up around 1:45. It could have really been a sick song, too bad it was underproduced. 06. Machine This track really leaves this EP on a good note. Extremely catchy and awesome to listen to, 'Machine' is seriously a great song. I wish a MV was made for this song. The singing and rapping are great (EXO-M gives this song that oomph that really makes this song great) and the line "She's a ma-ma-ma-ma-machine" is so very awesome. The packaging is very cool and creative (there's multiple incorporations of the hexagon that EXO has made their trademark). The songs enough make this CD a buy, but the pictures really make this CD a must purchase. The pictures are obvious eye candy, but really awesome eye candy. The photocards are adorable as well.
