The most difficult to answer are those about believing in a God one can not see or touch. They believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus without proof, but ask such penetrating questions when it comes to God. Vanessa offers answers children of all ages can understand, told in verse form that appeals to them. The verse along with the beautiful illustrations will have your young reader asking to read "Momma, Want To See God" again and again.
Wonderful illustrations and a lovely read. My grandchildren and I enjoyed it and would recommend this book.
Wonderful is the word for this book. And for so many reasons. Although technically a paperback, its' laminated cover is made for little curious fingers. The idea of a mother answering a child's innocent (yet profound) question in such a simple and meaningful way is a method that can be used by many; Ms. Fortenberry succeeds in being on a child's level with adult answers. And artist Jennings has produced pictures that miss no one. Every child will be able to find a familiar face peeking out from one page or the other. I believe that, while this book is aimed at younger children, any age will feel its' attraction. I did. My sixteen year old nephew did. so did my 13 year old niece. Use it for storytelling, or just as a gift. You can't go wrong.
