Overview

Denver's biggest playboy is about to get schooled.

Brennen

Rich, powerful, and a former pro skier—nothing and no woman is off-limits to Brennen Bergen. Part of the billion-dollar Bergen mountain sports family, he's reigned supreme over the Denver social scene with his playboy antics.

But that's about to change when he meets Abby Quinn and gets schooled on the MAN FAST.

Abby

After a disastrous breakup, Abby Quinn has sworn off men.

No dating. No boyfriends.

A complete Man Fast.

She's starting over in Denver and landed a teaching position at a prestigious elementary school. It's a temporary post, but if she does a good job, the position could be permanent.

Too bad Brennen Bergen has just thrown a wrench into her plans.

Forced to shape up or be cut out of his family's fortune, Brennen must prove he's a contributing member of the community by volunteering at his former elementary school—Abby's new school—and the place where he can't hide behind his bad boy ways to numb the pain he's carried for over a decade.

Will an attraction between them spell trouble for Abby or will Brennen finally have met his match?

Man Fast is the first book in the Bergen Brothers Series.

Man Fast, the first book in a series called The Bergen Brothers, was a quick read for me. I just flew through this book. Abby is on a man fast after having her long time boyfriend dump her via a note. She relocates herself from sunny Florida to Colorado during the winter. It’s a lot of sweet with great chemistry between the MCs with a little bit of steam, but not a slow burn. My favorite things was Abby sticking to her man fast (even though she waivers a bit) because it provides a great message to the reader. I had two issues with the book because I’m a stickler things like this, and mind you I’m not from Colorado like the author. However, Abby getting her new job the way she did and how it call quickly came together doesn’t sit right with me, and planning a weekend ski trip for an entire school in two weeks during prime ski season, no way that’s possible. Yes, I realize I need to suspend reality, but that’s really hard for me.

Moving, touching, entertaining - simply great! Not my first book of this author and for sure not my last. Every-time when I read one of her books I was rewarded and read a perfectly thought through story where I could experience a whole range of emotions. This book is just the confirmation of the fantastic writing and capability to create a great set of characters with which reader constantly connects. I loved every single page of this book and every single situation. There were moments where I cried but other made me smile and laugh out loud. Can't wait to read another Bergen brother's story.

A beautifully written tale of second chances, proving that everyone deserves a chance at forgiveness. I'm a sucker for a good playboy character, especially one that is doing it to avoid dealing with a tragic loss. Brennen Bergen is the perfect guy you want to dislike, but you'll find yourself rooting for him to find his own happiness, even if it's with a girl he can't have. I listened to this while driving to Denver, and it was the perfect backdrop, since that's where the story takes place. A wonderful start to a new series, I can't wait for Man Feast!

Good Story with some fantastic characters. Man Fast is my first book by Krista Sandor, and I was more than happy with it. It’s told in 3rd person POV (not my favorite) but I powered on through and came to love these characters. Abby is a new teacher at a prestigious private elementary school in Denver, Colorado. She clashes with Brennen Bergen on her first day when he’s assigned as her voluntary classroom assistant. Brennen doesn’t want to be there any more than Abby wants him to be, and when he fails to do the one thing she requested he help with she is quick to put him in his place. Being chastised by a teacher in a supply closet wasn’t on Brenen’s to-do list, but neither was falling for her. Abby is on a ‘man fast’ after being dumped by her very douchey ex-boyfriend. She’s sworn of men for 74 days and is not expecting to fall for another man. Certainly not the man who wound her up on her first day of teaching. This was a fairly fast-paced but not overly angsty story. Both Abby and Brennen have some baggage from their past. Neither is looking for love, but fate had other ideas. The chemistry between these two was hot as Hades. Brennen knew what he wanted and went for it, but still listened to Abby in the matters of their hearts. They were from opposites ends of the scale, Brennen’s a billionaire playboy, or he used to be. Abby is a lowly teacher, they shouldn’t have worked, but their relationship was simple and easy almost from the start. But, the past intruded and that’s when things got difficult. Can they forge their way through? Fun and laughter and a classroom full of 1st graders certainly help, and risking all where your heart’s concerned is the biggest chance anyone can take. A sweet romance with a sweet ending.

Heartache is no joke. Just ask Brennen and Abby. So when a promise of the heart, lands these love fools in over their heads, collateral damage seems imminent. Man Fast begins as a bit of a laugh, but quickly becomes so much more. Sandor has crafted a ballad to a broken heart. For Brennen, tragedy haunts his lyrics. He uses chaos to numb the pain and guilt he refuses to face. That all changes when his solo melody takes on a duet partner that has him rethinking his ways. Abby is his polar opposite. Responsible is the only way, she knows. Tragedy and heartache have brought out, her reliable side. When a recent heartbreak forces her to make a fresh start, she vows to never be a victim again. Yet swearing off men, could be the beginning of her undoing. When teacher, Abby meets rich playboy Brennen her emotions are put to the ultimate test. Along with her patience. Can the party boy and the reliable woman, teach each other the value of risking their hearts to love. All it takes is a sense of humor and an abundance of heart to fall in love with a less than perfect romance. Great read.
