About the Author
Peter C. Olden, PhD, is a professor of health administration at the University of Scranton (Pennsylvania). He worked for 14 years as a hospital executive. Since then, for more than 20 years, he has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in healthcare management and related subjects. Dr. Olden is a faculty associate of the American College of Healthcare Executives, which honored him with its Service Award in 2008. Dr. Olden has contributed chapters to healthcare management textbooks and has published articles in the Journal of Healthcare Management, Health Care Management Review, Journal of Health Administration Education, Health Care Manager, and other journals.
