This is officially my favorite of all of Claudy's Regency Romances.  I absolutely loved it.  I think it was Mandy's relationship with her brother, Ned that made this one stand out for me.  Not only were they siblings and friends, but they also each had this protectiveness over each other that just made you love them more.  Mandy is far from your typical woman from this time period and watching Brock trying to figure her out was almost as much fun as watching the mystery unfold.  This is a fun, hot, stand alone novel where everything is tied up in a bow at the end.  Yay for no evil cliff hangers!

It doesn’t matter what genre Claudy writes, I always find her books a comfort. This one really touched my heart. The sisterly and brotherly love in this book will touch anyone out there who has a brother they are close to or someone who always wanted to be close to their brother/sister. There is a lot of mystery and nail biting suspense in this book. Just when you think you know who did what.. the direction changes and you start thinking again LOL For me there is no competition when it comes to Claudy’s historical romances. This book had it all. I really loved the characters in this book. The twins Mandy and Ned. Their loyalty to each other is heart felt. We have the Duke who stepped right up to help. The family friend Skip who believed without a doubt in both the twins. And Chauncy, he is such a great man. Mandy needs to find a way to help her brother. Can she trust the Duke? Will the Duke be able to help the twins but most of all can he hold back the feelings he has for Mandy? Oh yes.. my fellow book addicts you need to read this one :) it is juicy!

Claudy continues to write thoroughly captivating books with very believable characters. Mandy is a rebel in her time period. She rescues her twin brother from the jail and proceeds to look for the guilty party. With the assistance of their guardian Brock Haydon a plan is set to find the bad guy. I was really surprised at the end to find out who was behind not only the murder Ned was accused of but also a robbery. The book is very enjoyable and I do recommend it highly.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I always look forward to reading anything from this author she has a way with words and always captures my full attention. Mandy and Ned are twins, when Ned is framed for murder they set out to clear his name. The twins are not yet of age so they have a guardian whom they haven’t met, their grandfathers friend ( he was given the guardianship when their grandfather passed away) So they write to him for help but don’t expect him to come since they haven’t heard anything from him since the death of their grandfather. The Duke ( the twins guardian) does travel to help them but is awestruck with Mandy and has to keep his mind on his duty, to clear Ned’s name. The mystery and romance makes this book hard to put down!

Mandy by Claudy Conn He's a rake and a libertine but Brock Haydon, the Eighth Duke of Margate, will not stand back while his ward is falsely accused of a crime. He may have been a bit remiss of his guardian duties so far, but with this latest missive from his friend Viscount John Skippendon, he will finally do his duty. Lord Edward Sherborne and his twin sister Amanda enjoy life to its fullest. When her brother is accused falsely of a crime, Mandy refuses to sit back and do nothing. And at the moment she trusts no one, but their faithful servants. She especially don't want to trust the handsome blue-eyed devil who is their guardian. Murder, secrets, clandestine meetings, robberies, missing persons and romance. This tale is filled with people to suspect of committing heinous crimes along with plenty of suitors for a young beautiful hoyden who comes with a dowry that's as appetizing as her looks. Jump into the past and enjoy the adventure. **Sexual content

Too many characters, too much dialogue about things not essential to the story.

Romance and suspense in a page turner. Clever plot, Mandy the female lead was a bit of a dim wit but the Duke and other characters were more interesting and a surprise ending.

This book started off just as most other books of the gentry. It quickly became a book of murder, mayhem, and lust. Mandy and her twin, Ned, are no stranger to trouble. They are often up to mischief and it's that and their liveliness that makes most like them. Of course, their are the stringent, stuffy persons who look down upon them. When Ned gets himself in a tight spot and then a lot of trouble, Mandy comes to his aid. This brings about a tale unlike any other. There are many times in the book that you don't know how the story is going to turn. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. Even when I thought I had figured everything out I hadn't. The end is very surprising. I love the flow of the book. There's never a dull moment throughout. The characters are loveable and adventurous. While they are within the confines of polite society, they don't allow themselves to be defined by it. Mandy is such an amazing character. She will forever be one of my favorites. She loves fully and has an amazing zest for life. This is a fabulous book and definite must read!
