This is only the second book in this series I have read. I enjoy reading books about Florida since I am a native Floridian. These are very quick moving and keep you guessing. I am not finished with this one yet but feel sure it will keep me glued till the end. Just as the last one did, it even had a surprise ending, which I like.

Deep and rich character development of Doc Ford, the main character, makes this for a very enjoyable read. You really feel yourself understanding and involved with all the main characters in this book based on the writers engaging style. The story takes awhile to build up and sometimes the details are too much but the story reaches a nice apex and the ending is really fantastic. I'll keep my eyes on Doc Ford for future reading.

Just like every other book in the Doc Ford series, this was outstanding. If you were a lover of John D McDonald's Travis Mcgee series and haven't gotten into Doc Ford yet, you're in for a huge treat.
