This is a story of double crossing, betrayal, conniving and desperation. To stop his company going bankrupt, Cade Sloan needs a wife – now. He asks his secretary to marry him and offers to pay her to do so and, for her own reasons, she agrees. However, when she hears him talking on the phone she no longer feels safe and literally runs away, taking the not insignificant amount of money with her …. When he catches up with her again, he’s determined she’ll pay her debts to him, with interest. This is a romantic suspense and one where, unusually, I actually disliked the hero for most of the story. He bullies, bribes, threatens and really does treat Nina like he is one of the stepfamily and she’s Cinderella, showing little regard or respect for her. However, the plot is quite complex, with intrigue and suspense, everything happens at a fast pace and packs a lot into a relatively short story. As complex motivations, causes and revelations of secrets from the past are made everything becomes clearer. It is a jet setting romantic suspense and an easy, quick read. I’ll definitely give this author another go! I requested and was lucky enough to be given a copy of this novel, via NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

A Whirlwind of a story. Manhattan Millionaire's Cinderella Sun Chara takes us on a wild ride. Cade needs a wife, Nina, to get the three million dollars to save his business. Nina agrees to the marriage but for half the money. Cade has stipulations. Nina takes off with her portion without fulfilling the second part. and it takes Cade a year to find her. The sparks fly, verbally and sexually. Then the ride really begins. It was a fun, quick read. She does a great job of describing the scenes and character actions. A tough heroine that holds her own against the alpha male. I got confused in a few parts like I missed something. Some POV switches. But overall it didn't detract me from the story. Give this one a try.

Manhattan Millionaire's Cinderella is definitely not your typical fairy-tale story. Sun Chara does a very good job with the overall concept of the story, yet it lacked more details. I felt that it could have been a great story had she included more chapters in the book. Aside from that, I enjoyed reading the story and Cade and Nina's relationship made everything that much more enjoyable to read. Cade Sloan needs a wife and in order to get the money that he needs to save his company, he decides to asks his secretary, Nina to become his wife. From the very start it   immediately becomes evident that the two are attracted to each other. The attraction grows and so she gives in but not without her fair share of the money that Cade is going to get once they're married.  Yet after getting married (which happens very fast in the story), Nina hears of Cade's plan and runs away with his money. Now it takes Cade a while to track her down and is set to get his money back and the women he is attracted to. Both Cade and Nina have strong personalities and passion for one another. They both hide secrets and it all becomes jumbled up with so many ideas in the story that it made it difficult to follow at times. But their attraction keeps pulling them together and they both have to give in and start all over again. It was an interesting book to read, and rather short. The characters were alright, there wasn't anything too big happening overall. I liked the concept and the writing, but the execution of the story as a whole could have been better. So if anyone is looking out for a short book to read, this might be it. There is a slight bit of mystery with romance all in one, which some of you might like to read.
