The first 30 seconds or more of each selection are typically repeated ad nauseum. The act has worn thin & the Disney tunes barely recognizable. Only for the most devout Steamroller devotees, and they'd probably only play it once or twice.

This CD is great for nostalgia among grownup Mouseketeers. It's upbeat. It's also great fun listening to it with children - helping them get to know and sing Disney songs and playing "Name that Tune".

I have to agree with the 2 previous reviews before me in that the songs are certainly different from the original Disney versions. However, I believe that is the reason why I find it so appealing. Having grown up on Disney music and an avid Disney fan, it's refreshing to hear old favorites in a new way. And while it's not upbeat and sing-songy like the original versions, I find it refreshing and great to either focus completely on or have playing in the background while doing other things. I consider it a wonderful addition to not only my Mannheim Steamroller collection, but to my Disney collection as well.

I've never been a Mannheim Steamroller fan, but I do enjoy the Disney music, so I thought I'd take a shot. I love this cd! For those reviewers who didn't like it, I will admit that these songs are quite different than the originals, but why else would it be worth remaking? In my experience when artists remake a song without drastic change, they simply fall flat because I can't help but compare them to the original version, with which I'm already familiar. I like that MSO made these songs their own.

This is an awesome CD. Especially if you love Disney. I am a new Manneheim fan and I love Disney Music, this is a perfect match. Everytime I hear the Mickey Mouse March with the voice of Jimmy Dodd, I get tears in my eyes. The review above by Barnes and Nobel describes the album well. It's different as far as Disney Music goes, but we love it.

I am a huge disney fan and I love Manheim as well. At first I was unsure of the cd but it quickly found it's way into my heart. The haunting rendition of Mickey Mouse March is worth the cd on it's own. My dad, whom is not one to cry, cry's when he hears it. As I am writing it is sending chill's down my spine.

I agree. Our expectations were much higher from Chip Davis for this one. Almost all tunes are unrecognizable and for the most part they are not cheerful. Where's the Disney spirit? Unfortunately, it's a miss for adults and kids.
