Book #1 in the sexy new Manwhore series from the New York Times bestselling author of REAL. Is it possible to expose Chicago’s hottest player—without getting played?

HOLY HELL!!!!!! GIVE ME MORE!!!!!! Absolutely LOVED!!!!! I went into this book without reading the synopsis. Another thing I didn't know, there is a second book. AND it ended with a CH!!!!!! I was not prepared!! I almost died when I reached the last page!! SO FREAKING GOOD!!!!!! I NEED MORE!! NOW!! I might die waiting for the next book!!!!!!  What do you need to know about this book??  1- Be prepared to read it in one sitting. 2- There will be no sleep while reading this book.  3- Have some ice close by. (HAWT) 4- Saint claimed my heart. 5- The writing is amazing. 6- Saint will ruin you for other book boyfriends. 7- I'm not kidding!!!! 8- Is the second book out yet?? I could keep going, but I guess y'all want to finish reading the review and pick up this book, right?? I know, I know, I was dying to read it as well, so I'll be quick. This book is unfreakinbelievable!! From the first few pages it grabbed my attention and I couldn't put it down. Katy had me swooning over Saint from the moment Rachel set eyes on him. I love how different this story is from everything out there right now.  Their first meeting was hilarious!! I would have died if I was Rachel!! I loved how their relationship developed. It wasn't rushed, but at the same time, it wasn't moving in a boring pace. The sexual tension, wow, the sexual tension in this story is high!! That first kiss will have you dreaming of Saint!! I love how much Saint loves to kiss!! The Romanticism in this book was one of my favorite things. I'm a romantic, and if you're too, you will LOVE this book.  I can't say much about the story and not ruin it for you. So do as I did, go in blind. Trust me, YOU. WILL. LOVE. IT. I guarantee you will fall in love with Saint, but remember I called "Dibs" first ;)

NEVER have I been more frustrated to find three pages of acknowledgments and author info at the back of a book before!! I was so into Malcolm and Rachel's story, because seriously, what was good at the beginning, just kept getting better and better as the book went on. Then, when I'm at 150% of pure investment in what was was the last page!! I swear I left my brain, and my heart, on page 354, begging for some resolution. I'm not going to go into a long winded essay about why you need to read Manwhore. It's simple. The book is awesome! It's got some good moments. It's got some GREAT moments. And then it has some moments that will not only secure Malcolm and Rachel a spot in your heart for good, it'll leave you wanting so, SO much more for them!! I have already marked my calendar for July 7th. I can't wait for more from this awesome new series when Manwhore +1 gets here!!

It used to be that when you bought a book, you only paid for it once. These stories that inch along and then leave you hanging just make me furious! This story just isn't compelling enough to wait and then PAY for another book! We readers need to boycott this manipulation by the publishing industry! Finish the story in one book! Refuse to pay twice for one story!

5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, betrayal, and heartbreak.  This is the start of Rachel and Malcolm’s (“Saint”) story. Rachel is supposed to write an article on Malcolm to out his ways and tell what makes him tick.  He pursues her after a few times with her trying to get an appointment for questions for an article.  She needs to uncover all his secrets and get to the heart of him.  Only problem is the more time she spends with him the harder she falls for him.  She is no longer interested in him for the article.  She wants him for himself.  What happens when the secret is out that she was after him for an article?  Will he stick by her or leave her in the dust and continue his manwhore ways?     Was not sure I would like “Saint”. But he grew on me by the end. I love the chemistry between these two. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.  I highly recommend this book.

This book is a MORE THAN 5 Stars kind of book and I can NOT wait for the next book to come out so I can see what happens. Katy Evans has done it again, and has made me fall in love with yet another book boyfriend that can compete with Remy. Manwhore….Where do I start? This book grabs you from the very first page and keeps your attention until the very last. It is a: can’t eat, can’t sleep, don’t clean the house, and let the kids run wild while I read kind of book. And if you start it before bed thinking you will just read a couple of chapters, be prepared to have a book hangover the next day, and to be extremely needy with your partner during and after reading.  Rachel is a girl who is trying to make her way as a journalist. When she finally lands a big story that could not only launch her career, but save her company from going under, she thinks she can handle it. But that was all before she met the city’s number one playboy, Malcolm Saint. From their very first meeting she felt something between them, but tried to deny it because she really wanted to get this story. But life and love don’t play by any set of rules. Malcolm Saint has never had a problem getting women into his bed. But when he meets Rachel, he is intrigued. Never has a woman captivated his interest like she has, but she doesn’t seem interested in what he has to offer. Slowly he starts to change his ways and want more than he has ever wanted before. But Rachel is keeping something very important from him that threatens everything that they start to build together.

Rachel & Saint Are Intoxicatingly Addictive! Malcom Saint is a bad-boy billionaire who can always be found surrounded by a bevy of beautiful women and with his face splashed all over the tabloids. He's a party-boy, a ladies man and in short, a total manwhore. He's also the subject of Rachel Livingston's latest exposé and her only chance at saving her struggling magazine and keeping her job. But the closer she gets to him, the deeper she's pulled in by their attraction and the side of him that never gets printed in the papers. Caught between her guilt over lying to Saint, her growing obsession with him and the new facets of herself she discovers when she's with him, Rachel fears risking her heart to a man that's known for being incapable of committing to just one woman. I'm usually not a fan of first-person narratives but I think that by limiting the story to only Rachel's perspective intensified the feeling of being unsure of how committed Saint really is to their relationship. I also really appreciated that Saint's character defies common bad-boy billionaire stereotypes. He does have some Daddy issues but he's not overly broody or inconsiderate and dismissive of the people in his realm. He's just an incredibly hardworking man who often indulges with the women who throw themselves at him, He's incredibly charitable, a loyal friend, and once he sets his sights on Rachel his eyes don't wander. I really loved Rachel as a heroine as well. She's caring, hard-working and feels things very deeply, as hard as she tries to keep up the walls that make her feel safe and unexposed. I lost my father at a very young age much like she did, and I can completely understand the emotional repercussions that something like that has on relationships and your ability to open yourself up to people. Rachel and Saint have some sweet, funny moments together when they're opening up emotionally and teasing each other. But hell, they are also incredibly hot together! This book is a total scorcher! The push and pull of their cat-and-mouse game makes the slow build all the better. I honestly couldn't put the book down. Saint and Rachel are intoxicatingly addictive! I didn't know that Malcolm and Rachel's story continues in the next installment of the series and only discovered this fact upon reading the last line of the novel. I think the anticipation might kill me. I need to know how their meeting will turn out and where their relationship will go from here. But at the same time, knowing that I've got a whole new book filled with more Saint and Rachel coming out in a few months makes me so happy. If you're looking for a scorching contemporary romance featuring a billionaire with a hidden heart of gold and a guarded heroine, Manwhore is one to pick up! This was my first book by Katy Evans but I truly loved it and will definitely be picking up the rest of her novels.  Disclaimer: I received this book free in exchange for my honest review. Katy Evans has done it again! I’ve been following her books from the very beginning so I totally jumped on the chance to review the first book in this new series. I couldn’t get enough of characters and all the events. It was sexy, raw, funny, and full of anticipation. Plus it will definitely get you geared up for the 2nd book in the series. Malcolm and Rachel seem to be opposites. He’s a billionaire playboy who gets whatever he wants. She’s a reporter in a 3 year dry spell who has made a pact with her roommate not to do relationships. Oh, and she’s agreed to get close to Malcolm for an expose. Of course nothing goes as planned. With that looming over the whole story, Malcolm actually pursues her which just complicates things a whole lot more. Malcolm is a straight shooter and is not shy about getting what he wants. Rachel is not only guarding her heart but also protecting her article. Things get steamy and emotions run high. I could feel the emotion just emanating off the pages as I read. This story line drew me in like only Katy Evans can do. I swear I always devour her books in no time, unable to put it down and this was no exception. The characters (even the secondary ones) had depth to them that really made them seem like real people. The scenes were written really well and I found it very easy to visualize the events in the story as I was reading. I absolutely LOVED this book and I don’t know how I’m going to be able to wait until July to read  Manwhore +1. 5 out of 5 stars!!

I NEED more of Malcolm Saint in my life!! This book floored me. I'll be honest there was a bit of disconnect at the beginning because I thought I knew where it was going. However, while the concept in general might seem vaguely familiar it's the heart, soul and lust that Ms. Evans puts into her characters that bring me back to loving her work EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. She wrote into this book what I love about her writing SO much. You can tell she just pours every ounce of power into these characters. THAT'S what makes this golden. Taking a normally insufferable character like Malcolm and turning him into someone I swooned for. The playboy image in real life irritates the heck out of me, and in most books too. But in this book - PHEW! Someone please hand my a fan and get me some water, because Malcolm Saint is TOO hot! Then you get a bit further in and he's not just sex on a stick. He's downright lovable. He's sweet and caring, possessive (which I LOVE!) and is so scrumptious in and out of the bedroom.  Then there's his counterpart Rachel... She is incredibly relatable in this book. So torn. Wants to hate him on principle, but he's just too delectable for her to resist. And for him, there's just something about her. Possibly that she's not on her knees (figuratively speaking, of course. You know these two get down and filthy dirty!) begging him to pay her attention. Yet, throughout the story she has a quippy inner-voice which offers a laugh a minute and such turmoil where he's concerned. There's the constant "will she, won't she?" aspect to this story, and the dread in my stomach of how he'll react if she does. Kept me on my toes! All I can say is that this book is currently sitting in my top 5 favorite reads of the year so far. I HAVE to have more. It's a necessity. Let's just say Ms. Evans might find my (friendly) cyber-stalking her for any kind of update for the next story in this series. I've already found myself re-reading my favorite parts and I haven't even been finished more than 48 hours. And it's highly probably that this might be one of my most highlighted books (I like to highlight my favorite parts on my ereader). Now, that Ms. Evans has thoroughly worked me into a book funk, I'm off to find someone with even half as much  appeal as Malcolm Saint. (HA!) Happy Reading! *ARC provided by the publisher in exchange for an HONEST review*  Previously posted on Same Book, Different Review (book blog)

4.5 deliciously erotic, page-turning, fantastic, Malcolm-Saint-has-a-new-fan-club stars! Hellooooooooo Mr. Saint! When I knew that Katy Evans was going to write another series I was super excited! She is one of my favorite authors and I could not wait to see what she had up her sleeve. I fell in love with her Real series from the moment I met Remy. My co-bloggers know that he owns the #1 place in my book boyfriend list. When I read the blurb of Manwhore, I knew I was in trouble. Holy Moly my friends!!!! Malcolm Saint is sure to end up on many lists this year. Prepare to meet your next sinful addiction! Rachel is determined to do whatever it takes to save the magazine she has written for and loved since she graduated from college. It’s hanging by a thread and it needs a major story to bring it back to the top. That story is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. She needs to go undercover and find out who he really is. From the first time that she meets him, she knows she in for all kinds of trouble. There is something about him that just pulls you in. The more time they spend together, the more Rachel falls hard for Malcolm. Will she be able to do her work and walk away or will she risk it all for the one and only man that has owned her heart? OMG!! This was such an amazing reading escape! From the first page to the last, Rachel and Malcolm will captivate you and make your heart race. Their connection is powerful and their sexual chemistry is smokin’ hot! I loved how Rachel kept her foot down and did not give into temptation right away. It made it that more intense when they shared that first kiss. It was a constant battle for her to stay away from Malcolm. Rachel was an interesting heroine that had me cheering for her since the beginning of this journey. I loved her determination and how she got under Malcolm’s skin. My heart broke for her and for what she had to do to save the magazine she works for. Oh my squee! Where do I start with Malcolm Saint?? I was scared at the beginning that this was going to be another billionaire story. I read many and I always feel like something is missing. In Manwhore, the characters made this story come alive. They felt so real and I could not get enough of them! Malcolm is a man of few words, but when he speaks he makes it count! He goes straight to the point and with one look or touch he can make your knees go weak! That man is a dirty talking hero I want to know more of! The more time he spent with Rachel, the more we saw the man behind the manwhore. Katy Evans’ writing style is PHENOMENAL. She makes you feel all kinds of emotions and she never disappoints! I had high expectations for this new series and it started with a BANG! I can’t wait to read Manwhore+1. This book leaves you with a cliffhanger that makes you want to scream Nooooooooo!!!!! Don’t do this to me!!! You can’t stop their journey there!!!! I am anxiously waiting for the next installment to release and I am crossing my fingers that Rachel and Malcolm’s best friends will each get their story. I love them to pieces! I give, Manwhore, by Katy Evans, 4.5 deliciously erotic, page-turning, fantastic, Malcolm-Saint-has-a-new-fan-club stars!

I have high expectations when it comes to any book by Katy Evans.  She's never let me down yet, and her 5 star streak (for me) continues with Manwhore. She takes the cliched oversexualized man and turns him into one any of us would love to have in our own lives.  She writes with such panache you can't help but fall in love with the characters and their story. I knew from the first page this book was going to be amazing.  When you fall for your female protagonist in the beginning it ensures you'll feel and maintain that bond through out the book.  I really liked Rachel.  She works hard to support herself and her mother, whom she loves dearly.  I love how she cares for her friends and most importantly, I like how she gives of herself to the community. She's had her life changed by violence and even though her actions may not be huge, she still does things to try and bring awareness and change. She's an adult but she's still innocent in a lot of ways.   Malcolm Saint on the other hand is an adult and he lost his innocence so long ago, he doesn't think he can be surprised. He's broody and moody, and such an enigma.  However Rachel really throws him off balance, from the first time they meet.  Since this book is told exclusively from Rachel's point of view, what I know of Malcolm is through Rachel's eyes and his actions.  Saint might unapologetic about his past or what he wants, but it was clear to me how much he cared for Rachel.  The unrepentant manwhore saw something in Rachel that wanted him to be better and do better, where before ennui had reigned. I loved how he wooed Rachel and how confused she was. I never doubted Malcolm, but I did fear for him and his feelings, especially as he began to open up to Rachel. Betrayal never ends well, even if it doesn't began as a betrayal. I was captivated by this story.  The book is sweet and yet hot.  The chemistry between Malcolm and Rachel is undeniable. I could almost feel it in the room as I read.  I would suggest keeping a change of underwear handy, just in case.  I can only recall a handful of times I've had a major reaction (outburst) to the ending of a book. I love my e-reader too much, but I've never before wanted to throw it across the room and throw a temper tantrum.  I read blissfully unaware that at the end I'd be frantic for more.  Rachel and Malcolm's story doesn't end with the last page of Manwhore.  There will be more, but the wait until July will be excruciating.     As a fan of Real and all of the books that have followed, I can easily say hardcore fans of Katy's will love this book.  I can also say that this book is quite different from her previous novels, yet holds its own, and stands out.  I expect to see crops of Malcolm fans as more people read this book, just like Remy has his fans.  After all, Malcolm Saint is the man.

I really liked this author's previous books so I was very excited to get this one. She did an excellent job, but I do want to mention that this book is totally different from the Real series. Saint (or Sin, as Rachel likes to call him) is the total package. He's loaded, sexy as [...], funny, AND he's a genuine good guy. Many male leads are bad boys or [...]holes these days so if you're in the market for an angel masquerading as a devil, Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint is ready to whisk you away to a perfect life. Problem—Rachel Livingston is a news reporter for a magazine. She takes an assignment to do a few interviews with Saint. He believes the topic is his new company. She's really suppose to get him to warm up to her in order to find out all his dirty secrets and write a tell all exposé. Researching this article is life changing for Rachel. Both leads have a couple of friends that are pretty entertaining and I hope to see more of them in future books. I groan and fall back on the bed, rubbing my face. "Gina! What's happening to us?" "Man. Mankind. Man[...]." And I definitely want more Saint. He is perfection in every way. "You'd be monogamous for a girl?" "I would be, for my girl." "See, I've never had a girl I saw as mine. They've all been public property." I will positively be reading the next book when it comes out!

I SO wish this book was not a two part story. :( I loved this story as much as i loved your Real series, but waiting to find out what happens stinks! Its like when you are watching a movie and it ends in the middle of the story, and you have to wait a few months to see the second half. Except, by then you have forgotten what happened in the first part of the movie...

Its truly rare to find a book that consumes you and pulls you in and leaves you wanting more. You think you know the plot, you think your just reading and experiencing the characters and WHAM! Slow burn...and you are addicted and destroyed and a crying mess....the epitome of a book hangover. This is a must read.

This book was better than the Crossfire Series and Fifty Shades although I deeply love both Gideon Cross and Christian Grey. There is a realistic factor to this book that the other two don't have but it still keeps the same intense level of passion between the main two characters. I love this book and the only thing I hate about it is that I have to wait until July for the sequel!

I'm truly at a lost of words and I'm having a slight book hangover at the moment. I will say this-- Malcom Kyle Preston Logan Saint has knocked my currently book boyfriend Beckett Daniels right off his damn pedestal that I had him sitting on. This man has rocked my world leaving spinning out of control and desperately wanting to find out what happens next for him and Rachel Livingston. He is the epitome of a man who is truly a SAINT!!! Misunderstood, closed off, and in need of someone to love him unconditionally that is my description of Malcolm Saint. To me that man has a heart of gold and Rachel is just the woman to bring it out of him for the world to see. Just when you are think things will work out BAM things go wrong, and Katy leaves you wondering what will happen next. I'm dying to get my hands on Manwhore +1. Is it July yet? I ABSOLUTELY loved this book. In my opinion this is her best book yet. I whole heartedly definitely recommend this book.

While the main female lead, Rachel, drove me crazy. Her friend Gina drove me nuts!!!  The best part of the book came towards the last three chapters. It took me that long to be hooked. But I have to admit hooked I am and I will definitely by the next book to see what happens. The best character - Malcom Saint.  WOW - now he I liked.  I really, really wanted to give this book 5 stars -but I am settling for 3 for overall. However I give it 5 stars for the last 3 chapters.

So I completely loved this just as I loved Katy's Real series, but note it is very different from those books. I won't go into explaining the plot since so many others do that, except that I wish Rachel had fessed up to her faults on her own instead of just battling with herself for so long internally, which led to someone else beating her to the punch. And she just so easily stereotyped Malcolm based on rumors even as she got to know him and he proved himself time and time again. I understand her confusing path to discovering she loved the guy, but it's still frustrating to see. The book was pretty angsty to me because I kept waiting (with dread) for him to find out her real assignment and knew it would destroy everything.. Oh well. Katy Evans knows what she's doing, which is why there's a book two on the way. Just to let you know also, though, the second book doesn't come out until July and the ending is a cliffhanger to the max! I will struggle to wait that long, as will any of you who read it.

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 REVIEW:  Let me start with the cover of this book. Like a lot!!!!  The title? Not as wild about. I almost passed up reading this story because of it (glad I didn't).  This story is told from Rachel's point of view, which I don’t normally enjoy first person. And I will admit that in the beginning I was on the fence about how I felt. I was honestly worried about the whole bad boy billionaire meets mild mannered young lady story-line. It seems like this story line has been everywhere lately. But as the story progressed I really started enjoying more and more. Rachel and Malcolm are beyond yummy together. I really enjoyed the tug and pull between these two. But like every good story there has to be some kind of drama. And it is a big one filled with a lie that could ruin everything.  Than to add to the cherry to the top of the drama sundae Ms. Evans leaves us hanging. Oh how I hate unresolved issues at the end of a story. Now I must try to find my patients until book 2 comes out in July.  Oh and the cast of characters that hang around Malcolm and Rachel *rubs hands together*. Can’t wait to see what happens with them.  Disclaimer:  I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley & Gallery, Threshold, Pocket Books in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

I was not sure what I was going to get when I read this book. I was afraid it was going to be like the other books in this genre, but it was not. As I was flying, I thought oh I'll read a couple chapters and finish later, well, that did not happen. Two and a half hours later, I couldn't put it down until I finished it! Saint is a complex character that you will come to love and cheer for. He doesn't do the douche moves other Alpha Billionaires make, but once he sets his sights on Rachel he becomes a very endearing character. She is the one who frusrated me! I wanted to scream at her and ask her what was she thinking. Her assignment and her personality are so different that I knew it was going against her nature to do what she was doing, yet she kept on doing it. The outcome could've been stopped so much sooner! Her two roommates are a nice balance to keep her grounded and his two best friends are hilarious. I can't wait to read book 2 and find out what happens. This is a cliffhanger which I know will bother people, but please give it a chance! -Shauna-

It was supposed to be an expose on Chicago’s hottest, richest and most mysterious bachelor. It was going to make Rachel’s career, she was determined, nervous and willing to do anything to get her story, what she did not expect was the man behind the legend of Malcolm Saint. Katy Evans’ Manwhore is NOT, let me repeat, IS NOT just another sizzling hot, hysterically funny and endearingly sweet romantic tale! Told in the voice of Rachel, the powerhouse that is Malcolm Saint steamrolls over her and she feels every single word, touch and ounce of animal magnetism he exudes, but she is hiding behind a lie, the true purpose of her “interviews” and is becoming the victim of her own deceit. Behind the façade of a brutal businessman, legendary sex god and a player in all senses of the word is a MAN with a hidden and painful past, vulnerable and kind. And. Rachel. Is. Falling. In. Love. Will her own secrets kill any chance she has with Saint, the man? He has managed to expose Rachel to herself, more than her body and conscience; he has exposed her heart, one layer at a time. Sometimes, an author comes around that turns a well-traveled genre into a spinning top and ends up changing its look and appeal, completely with a fresh attitude, fresh characters and pure, delicious humor and taut sexual tension. Bring a fan, some smelling salts and brace yourself for Malcolm Saint, and the devilishly enchanting words of Katy Evans who has hit my authors to risk melting my Kindle over!

I was asked if I was interested in reviewing this and at first I was a little hesitant. I know that Katy Evans is an amazing writer but I have gotten to the point that I was a little jaded about the whole billionaire romance novel. They can get a little repetitive. I read the blurb and was...intrigued. Saint. This man has made me decide that being a sinner is the way to go. There is something about a man that knows what he wants and doesn't hesitate to go after it. That is sexy as hell. Rachel is a very naive young woman in my opinion. She works for a failing magazine and has a shot to cement her credibility with her boss and get the story that all of Chicago wants to know. Who is Malcom Saint? Rachel and Saint have a relationship that is hot, spicy and full of passion. It begins with a trickle of sparks and turns into a full blown fourth of July celebration! Katy is an wonderful storyteller and her characters come to life. It has been awhile since I read a book that left me with a hangover and begging for more. This is one that will leave you breathless.
