A plastic surgeon receives a strange patient when a marble angel raps on her window and asks for a radical procedure. At first the surgeon is hesitant, but the charm and beauty of the statue changes her mind. She gives the marble angel what she wants. The procedure is a success, but the result is bittersweet. A haunting fantasy of the sacrifice love sometimes asks of us. (short story)
