About the Author

Though I trained for a musical career, I ended up as a drugs enforcement officer in the UK! So, I guess John Lennon was right when he said life's what happens when you're making a plan.

I write in a variety of styles encompassing humour, gritty reality, and a generous portion of erotica. The stories are often, though not always GAY themed, and quite irreverend. Humour's a hard act to pull off but if you've enjoyed what you read I'd love to hear from you. david.mcgee@rocketmail.com

A very enjoyable LGBT-themed short story. Definitely a coming-of-age tale of a young British teen discovering the love of his life, outside of his mother's store. Great story, but it left me wanting more.

A really odd but cute short story. Sometimes in life we have to decide to be authentic to ourselves or to do what is safe... missing out on a rare once in a lifetime kind of moments.

If you stick with the story, it will turn out to be a really good story. I do agree that it needs an epilogue, but that is just my opinion and maybe your imagination is better. I also loved the setting, as I could relate to it even though it is set in England and I live in America.

We should all embrace the things that make us different, but not to the point of it being obscene. Knowing who and what we are is important and realizing that we can't really change it is vital. We can lie and hide but love is too beautiful to be hidden in closets, drawers, or books.

This is a sweet story of coming out. It is short and I'd very much like to read more of what happens to these star crossed lovers. Thank you Dave McGee.
